Timbaland f/ James Fauntleroy "Back Together" (Possible Reference Track)

Yet another Keri Hilson track for your ears and maybe the hottest one of the bunch! The track is called "Back Together" written by Keri and James Fauntleroy and definitely produced by Timbaland. Take a listen:

Boomp3.com

Really listen to the track. You hear that woman yelling "HEY!"? Tim's gone WAY back in his arsenal of sounds for that one. It was first used on one of my favorite Missy tracks Tim ever created. Can you name it?

Update Here's the full version:

There definitely is some confusion (and excitement) as to what this track is going to be used on. Will it be used for Shock Value II? Is the James Fauntleroy part a reference only or is he going to be featured on the track? Is that Keri in the background? As soon as we find out more we'll let you know! First time to hear Timbaland sing an entire track, HOT!

  15. I don't like that James dude's vocals. But the beat is bangin'! For some reason I'm kinda wishing this had been given to Hikaru Utada.

  18. I would prolly wet myself if Tim would work with Utada again. The more I think of it, R. J, your right: Hikki's vocals would suit the song.

  19. That sounds true... considering Fauntleroy has a long way to go.

But, people have been throwing the word "demo" around like feces here in the TCC comments section as of late... do you mean "demo" as in Fauntleroy won't be in the final (the way the word should be used), or "demo" as in the beat still needs some tweaking (the way people use the word when referring to the UNFINISHED/UNMASTERED Keri songs)?

  20. when I say demo I mean its a reference track for other artists, so the artist let's say Mary J. Blige has an idea and directon of how Tim thinks how this track could/should sound like at the end...means also there is still room to change something here and there, on the beat or on the lyrics. Its just, well a demo. Demos like this get sent to A&R's, manager, artists so they can pick for their projects from Tim's catalogue he daily builds with his team...and yes that means James Fauntleroy will not be on the final version most likely, maybe background vocals...Good songwriters like let's say Ne-Yo come up with the melodies and harmonies too, so it only makes sense if they also sing on the demo version. and all that actually means also that this song right here isn't even meant to be out - EVER! There's producers like JR Rotem, Stargate, their demos sound almost so perfect (as far as the mixing etc.) like a finished song. It varies from producer to producer.

  21. I should check out Stargate and JR demos when I get the chance, then... thanks for clearing up the definition, I was getting really confused.

  22. I could hear this on Shock Value 2!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. well maybe james wont be on the final song but i really hiope they dont change anything else or tweak it at all cuz this song is amazing as is!
    :D
