In Tim's own words:
"That [Carry Out] is my favorite, favorite record. "Me and my best friend J.T. — Justin Timberlake. That [song] reminds me of a 2010 'Drop It Like It's Hot.' All these sounds from all over. We tried to give another slang for women. Instead of 'Your phat butt' or 'Your big breasts,' we say, 'Oh, I need you. Can I be your carry out? Be my carry out. I want you to be my dinner, my leftovers, my everything.' It's a different slang. We're grown men, I wanna be subliminal to females. Like, 'Oooh, carry out? That's kinda sexy.'
A good choice indeed as the track, especially the beat (check that Timstrumental), is HOT! Does the bass pattern sound familiar? It should....
It's the same used for the beat Tim layed down for Busta in the studio way back when. Go back and check the video you'll hear it...

In what has to be a mouth dropping, you got to be kidding me, no ****in' way moment, Timbaland did NOT produce Playa's "Gravy Train." Rather the beat was produced by Keybeats, some extremely talented producers who worked with Aaliyah on her last album.
Now that right there is truly some surprising info! We all knew that the track was supposed to be the 1st single off of Playa's never released 2nd album but we always assumed Timbaland produced it. Today we stand corrected...
This isn't the first time Keybeats has worked with Playa as they also did "Incense Burning" (my personal fav. Playa track) which was also thought to be a Timbaland track many years ago.
Big props to Buddha over there at Static Major is Music for keeping us honest! Now if only he can get me the other confirmed Timbo tracks from their 2nd album "Grateful" and "We'll Meet Again"
I personally liked what Tim did for the Pussycat Dolls. It was just the right mix of Timbo flavor with that pop sound he's been all about. Or course Candice Nelson brought the vocal heat and it put a big smile on my face to finally see her get the vocal credits, rather than just writing credits, she so deserves.
So a track that came out 6 months ago but was never discussed elsewhere is the demo Nicole did for "Magic" which is basically a stripped down, no Timbo beat box, version of the final version. Here take a listen.
Now when I first heard this track I immediately thought could that be Amar in the background right around 2:00? Bad assumption but you never know. She wasn't credited so I thought ok must be a sample, call Czar. Of course as always Czar schools me that it's not a sample but rather Nicole herself? No way right?
Wrong, as Czar pointed out in this video he sent me...check minute 1:41
Throughout all the years and all the tracks Ginuwine and Aaliyah worked on what do you think G's favorite one is with 'Liyah? Watch for yourself:
Now another interesting fact about G and Baby Girl is that G has never really written for anyone besides himself but a track he did write for someone else is none other than Alliyah's "I Miss U" written, get this, back in 1998.

Sup y'all? It's Friday, so you know that means another edition of "Czar's Sample of the Week" (been gone for a while, right?).
For those who don't know, today is Jay-Z's birthday, and I thought I'd share a sample with y'all from the always-amazing Timbo/Jay collaborations. I used to tell people that I would retire from timbo sample mixes once I found this sample, and after I was lucky enough to find this sample, I haven't made any more mixes since. Peep sample
'Till next time...

As much as Timbo is a fan of Drake, putting him on the sick-as-hell 2nd single "Say Something" off Shock Value II, it seems Drake is as equally a fan of Timbo. Check the track from early '09:
Sound familiar? Now name the producer.
Could Omarion be the link between Drake and Timbo meeting? Hmmm...
Oh and here's another one for shits and giggles:
Makes you wonder if it's a sample Timbo used too or if Timbo was sampled?
