So let me bring you some more interesting production info you may not know. Yeah we're all aware of the Devante/Timbo relationship but have you checked the liner notes of certain tracks? What you think is Timbaland, is really credited to Devante. Why? Could it be that Timbo was fresh in the game back then and Devante's name was put on production credits for the star power of it? Could it be a "produced by Devante" track held more clout than a "produced by Timbaland" track at that time? Well let's look at the facts.
Jodeci's "In The Meanwhile" featuring Timbaland is produced by Timbo right? No it's not, it's credited to Devante though Timbo gets credit for writing and performing the rap.
Jodeci's "Time and Place" is produced by Devante and Timbaland gets credit as co-writer.
Jodeci's "Sweaty" is produced by Devante yet Timbaland is credited for the "scratches".
Usher's "Can U Get Wit It" is credited to Devante and Timbaland gets credit for all instruments.
Jodeci's "Bring On Da Funk" is credited to Devante and Timbaland gets co-writer credits.
Here's my favorite one: B Rezell's "Blowed Away" is credited to Devante, Timbaland appears nowhere on the liner notes yet on the rap it's said ".....all due respect to Tim and Devante, for makin' a track that's phat...." Hmmm interesting stuff indeed.
Now the biggest possibility? It's been said that though Devante got credit for "Love You Down" by The Basement and 2 Pac's "No More Pain", that Timbaland actually produced both tracks!
I gotta give props to my man Bossplayya as he is the reason for this entry. Dude knows 10 times more Timbo stuff than I ever will. When he told me all this, I was like DAMN now that's story. Thanks Playya!!

Czar's Sample of the Week
This week Czar brings us a sample by one of the most underrated Tim tracks ever! It's from The Game's "Put You On The Game" Now when I first heard this track the only sample I heard was the "Electroconvulsive Therapy" part at the beginning. Boy was I wrong....
Tim sampled the track "Bagon Mein Bahar" by Lata Mangeshkar & Mohammad Rafi.
Czar strikes again!
The final say on Omarion's "IceBox"
So there has been so much debate about this track which I don't understand. I've already reported the truth but here it is again in case you missed it:
The Royal Court produced this track. The Royal Court consists of King and his partner Sir John. Yes they are a part of Timbaland's camp but they did the production. Despite what's listed, despite what people say, despite what you heard, that's the truth coming straight from King himself and confirmed by Sebastian, Timbaland's brother. The Clutch wrote this track.
Yes that is Timbaland you hear on the track and yes he is confirmed to be in the video but just because Timbaland is featured on a track doesn't mean he produced it. For example, "Party" by Sincere f/ Timbaland off the Exit Wounds Soundtrack is produced by Budda. Also "Diddy Rock" by Diddy F/ Twista, Shawnna, & Timbo is produced by Danja.
So there you have it, the truth.
Video: Pussycat Dolls "Wait A Minute"
Cool video, pretty straight forward. Looks like Tim is all about the suits these days. Dude lookin' all dapper and fly. Nice to see him out behind the boards and gettin' his face out there more often.

Wait is that really Timbaland?! (Part I)
When it comes to "did Tim produce it" I'm a beast. I'll go to great lengths (and I'm sure annoy the crap out of people) to find out. Why? Cuz I hate rumors, I hate "I think he did"s or "assuming he did"s. Now as I've found out (and later you will too) liner notes don't always tell the truth but until I'm told otherwise with some other kind of other proof, I'll stick to the liner notes.
With that said, despite what you heard here's the truth about a few tracks:
Queen Latifah "Go Head" is produced by Big Tank FOR Timbaland Productions. All instruments are Big Tank. Timbaland and Jimmy D are credited as mixers.
AZ "AZ's Back" is produced by Tank (no "Big" just Tank) but no production company is listed (interesting) Bill Pettaway is credited as writer and guitar.
Jentina "Bad Ass Strippa" is produced by David Dorrell & Matt Rowe. Jimmy D is credited as mixer. Sample used "For The Love Of Money" by The O'Jays. What's interesting is I have a radio rip of this track where the DJ says "produced by Timbaland."
A'ksent f/ Beenie Man "Zingy" is produced by The Jugganauts. Come on now this track is HUGE bite of Ludacris' "The Potion"
Epik f/ The Game "Epik" is produced by 456 productions and yes they sampled Timbaland's voice. I gotta admit the production is smooth, that snake charmer like flute is sick.
So there you have and yes there are many more to come. Got any to add? E-mail me!

The First Interview: J Boogie Interviews Timbalandchick
She brought it to us first before fansites were the norm. She's the O.G. in the Timbo game and on top of all that she's mad cool. Check out The Chronicles very first interview with none other than:

Joe Boxer Commercial
Here it is track produced by Timbaland, video by Dave Meyers:
For you stans this is actually an alternate version to the original so add it to your lists. Listen carefully at the end as well, yes that is the one and only Rajé Shwari.

Timbaland and Nicole Scherzinger
Though it's been known for awhile now, MTV confirmed in an article that Timbaland will on Nicole's (from the Pussycat Dolls) new album and that she will be singing on his new album.
It's been said the track is called "Physical" and was actually made for the Pussycat Dolls 1st album but it never made the final cut. Instead on letting it go to waste, Nicole picked it up for her solo album (a very smart move). So stayed tune for what hopes to be a solid album from her.
What's that sound?
So if you had a chance to go to Sebastian's myspace and take a listen than you heard 3 new Timbo tracks. So did anything sound oddly familiar? Take a listen to Tawanna's "Tonite" and Shelby Norman's "U Hated Me" again. Can you hear it?
Hear that strange "bink bink bink" at the beginning of both tracks? Well that sound has been on a number of Timbaland tracks throughout the years. Ironically, or maybe not so, the tracks it appears on are either unreleased or a snippet. More than likely though, this sound appears on unmastered Timbo tracks. For example the sound appears on:
Aaliyah's "Time"
Attitude "All By Myself" (snippet)
The Kevin Garnett Commercial track
Pooda Brown's "Test My Boyz" (snippet) though the vinyl does exist and I have a feeling this sound has been omitted
and the 2 before mentioned tracks.
So what exactly is the sound? Well I think it's a sort of electronic metronome. What makes me say that? Take a look at this video:
Hear it at the end?
So what do you think? Is it a metronome? A music cue? Ahh the mystery....

Czar's Sample of the Week
New week, new sample and this week Czar brings us a rare gem. We've all heard Aaliyah's hit "More Than A Woman". Dope track, plenty of cool sounds, video was on point, and as always Aaliyah's voice + Timbo beat = hot sh*t
BUT did you know Timbaland sampled for the track? Well he did and he sampled from this track. The artist is Mayada El-Hannawy and the track is called "Aloly Ensy."
I'm tellin' you Czar knows his samples, the dude's got a great ear for music. Thanks Czar!

Redman and Timbo
I'm a little late on the news but it seems as though Redman's first single off his new album will be produced by none other than Timbaland. Check the article for more info.
Now as much as I want to believe this article I have to question it cuz as we all know based on Joe Budden's interview from last summer, Budden was supposed to release his second album "The Growth" with the Timbaland produced track "What You Doing Tonight" as the lead single. Still waitin' for that gem to drop.
Diddy "Press Play" Update
Well I haven't bought the album yet but I finally got some clarification as to who produced what. "Wanna Move" F/ Ciara, Big Boi, and Scar is produced by Danja and Big Boi which makes sense as you can here that dirty south electric snare and Danja's synths.
"Diddy Rock" is produced by Danja only. I have to admit as many times as I've listened to this track I'm still not feelin' it all the way. Kudos for the new 80s-esque sound, Diddy definitely needed that but none the less as a music fiend who loves the 80s, I'm just not into it.
Lastly, "After Love" F/ Keri Hilson is produced by Timbaland and Danja. This is my favorite track of the 3 and no that's not because of Timbo on the boards but because Keri just KILLS it. It could have been a Keri Hilson F/ Diddy track in my opinion.
So there you have it. Danja, a somewhat new cat, comin' strong on so many albums right now and Keri who is singing and writing bangers all over the place. Look for her on Lloyd Banks second single "Help" and look for Danja on a lot of new albums coming soon.
New D.O.E
It's no longer John Doe, it's D.O.E (Dominate Over Everyone) Dude is doing big things and gettin' ready to drop his solo album soon. Not only is D.O.E nice on the mic but he's a hella cool and humble dude. I'd love to one day interview the guy and get some news on what he's been up to and the new album. Check out his new track "Peace" produced by Timbaland.
I'm a HUGE fan of Timbo's choral samples, and that opera voice he uses is killin' me! Lovin' this song, my favorite Tim/D.O.E track to date. There are also 2 other known unreleased Timbo/D.O.E tracks "Boonkie" and "Pot To Piss In." Now whether or not we'll ever here those tracks is another story.
My favorite D.O.E track is not a Timbo produced one surprisingly, I'm not sure who's on the boards but the track is FIRE! Turn up the bass and listen to "Me & My Nine".

New Timbaland Tracks
Check out 3 new Timbaland tracks on his brother Sebastian's myspace:
Tijuana "Rain"
Tijuana "Tonite" f/ Petey Pablo
Shelby Norman "U Hated Me" (Alternate Version)
I have no idea who Tawanna is but she sounds good over a Timbo beat. "Rain" is a sick track. Always good to hear new stuff from Tim. Big ups to Sebastian who has always posted exclusive Timbo joints since day one.
Speaking of Timbaland productions, have you all had a chance to check out the Timbaland production lists? (links on the right) There are lots of goodies on the lists. I've recently just added:
Jay-Z "Get Off Minez" (Alternate Version)
Pussycat Dolls "Wait A Minute" (Alternate Mix Version)
Justin Timberlake "My Love" (Video Version) -yes there is more than a difference than just the interlude at the beginning
Take a look and let me know if you see any discrepancies or additions.

The Brian Kidd Connection (Part I)
This is without a doubt my favorite post to date. If there is anyone I could interview at the moment, it would be Brian Kidd. Why you ask? Because A. the dude is an INCREDIBLE producer and B. He has baffled us Timbo fans for a long time now. He's produced tracks and used samples that would surprise even the biggest of Timbo fans.
For example, let's look at the track "Get To Poppin'" or "Get Down" as it's been referred to. There are 5 yes 5 versions of this track. If I told you that Timbaland produced 4 of them you'd probably believe me but if I said he produced all 5 you definitely would not as the 5th one is where the mystery lies. Let's take a listen:
"Get To Poppin'" Version 1: Rich Boy
"Get To Poppin'" Version 1: Rich Boy Version 2: Attitude F/ Rich Boy
"Get To Poppin'" Version 1: Rich Boy Version 3: Pitbull F/ Rich Boy Remix
"Get To Poppin'" Version 1: Rich Boy Version 4: Pitbull F/ Rich Boy (off of Pitbull's album "Money Is Still A Major Issue" hear the difference?)
"Get To Poppin'" Version 1: Rich Boy Version 5: Chino XL F/ Rich Boy (aka "Latinos Stand Up")
So who produced this track? Is it Brian Kidd? But what about that last track where it says "...with this remix that Timbaland made..."? So it's Timbaland.....right? Confused yet? So was I until I asked Brian Kidd himself and he confirmed that indeed he did produce all the versions of "Get To Poppin". The last track? Could be a freestyle, who knows but Timbaland did not produce this track.
Now the Brian Kidd connection does not end here. OH NO there is much more to his music then this one track so stay tuned for much more. Brian man if you're reading this THANKS for hittin' me up! Glad to finally get the truth.

New Timbaland Interview
Check out the interview Blender Magazine did on Timmy:
Timbo The King
I have to say people were asking Tim some dumb ass questions. "Did you ever ask Missy out in high school"? Say what? Mine would be "So on the 3rd alternate version of "We At It Again" what made you decide to say "the" instead of "a" at minute 3:41?"
That's cuz I'm a STAN!
Listen to Senator Jimmy D
Jimmy Douglass is a legend not only as an engineer, not only as a producer, not only as a musician, but as a genius who has contributed so much to the music world. Check out this interview:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
This interview is amazing! Jimmy talks about his entire career not only his work with Timbaland but Hall & Oates, Aretha Franklin, Donnie Hathaway, etc. I have so much respect for Jimmy and am so grateful to be blessed with all the amazing music he has created. Big ups to Big A for the links!

Timbaland to work with Eazy-E's son
Peep the: ARTICLE
I don't know how I feel about this really. I just hope it happens versus what we hear ("Timbaland did 20 tracks") versus what really happens ("None of Timbaland's tracks made the album"). Sounds interesting enough though. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens....
Props to Big A for the news!
Video: Justin Timberlake "My Love"
and yes for all you stans add this to your list as a Video Version.
Czar's Sample of the Week
Czar has blessed The Chronicles with it's first contribution. He gives us our first sample to discuss:
The original track is "Joga" off of Bjork's '97 album Homogenic. This track has been sampled twice by Timbaland. Once on "Hit 'Em Wit Da Hee" (Remix) off of Missy Eliott's '97 album Supa Dupa Fly album and again on "What The Dealio" by Total off of the '98 (guess Tim liked the sample) Why Do Fools Fall In Love Soundtrack. Take a listen to the tracks carefully to pick up the sample.
Now if ya'll don't know Czar then get to know him. Not only is he one of the most down to earth dudes out there but the guy is KING of the Timbaland samples. If any of you have been lucky enough to get a hold of one of his "Czar Sample Mixes" (he's workin' on Vol. 8) then you know what I'm talking about. Hit him up on his myspace with questions or comments.
Speaking of Bjork, it was first reported that Timbaland would be producing for her new album. The collabo was confirmed by Mahattan Center Studios with Bjork on vocals, Tim producing, and Jimmy Douglass as engineer. It was later rumored that Timbaland didn't do just 1 or even 2 but 6-7 tracks off her new album. Now rumors have been floating around the Bjork will be signing to the Music Mosley Group. For me this is the most exciting Timbo news I've heard in a long time. Timbo AND Bjork on one track and on one label? That's too good to be true!

Timbaland OFFICIAL Myspace Re-Activated
The official Timbaland myspace was deleted earlier today for reasons unknown. Over 9000 friends contributed to the success of the space. Why would an official space be deleted when Timbaland and the musicians, friends, and family who contributed to the page be deleted? No one knows....
So please re-join and hit the space up again. Timbaland does read the comments left by everyone and appreciates the support from fans all over the world. Jessica, Mishan, and Keith have all worked really hard on the space so please continue your support.
Go now and rejoin or join for the first time: Timbaland's Official Myspace
Omarion's "Ice Box" is not directly produced by Timbaland
I kept hearing stories about the different people who might have produced this track. One such person I heard about was a guy named King so I decided to ask King himself to get some clarification about who really produced the track.
"Icebox" is produced by The Royal Court which consists of King and Sir John who are part of Timbaland's camp. They work with Tim and his influence can definitely be heard yet The Royal Court are the production team behind this new hot track. Not familiar with The Royal Court? Well you better start learning cuz rest assured we can all expect BIG THINGS from this duo. "Icebox" is pure HEAT! Big ups to King for taking time out from his busy schedule to set the story straight.
Go check out his myspace and give him the props he deserves!
A new better quality version has recently popped up on the net. This version is actually an alternate to the original as the beginning is shorter, there are added sounds, and there is a slightly different ending then the original (perhaps unmastered?) version.

2 Tim tracks off Diddy's "Press Play"
Not the best quality but here they are none the less.
Diddy f/ Keri Hilson "After Love"
Diddy F/ Twista & Shawnna "Diddy Rock" "....burgers and fries..." ummm
Props to my man Introduction for the hook ups!
*Just added: This track may also be Timbo or maybe just Danja, again hard to tell. We'll have to wait and see when the CD comes out. Props to Bigmac!
Diddy F/ Ciara, Big Boi & Scar "Wanna Move"
Latest Tim production rumors
So we've heard Tim's track for Lloyd Banks "My House" that didn't make the album but what about the title track from "Rotten Apple" that was supposed to be Tim and Havoc. According to this MTV article. Banks said so himself. However, the liner notes say Havoc only, so what happened?
Then there's JoJo and a track called "Show I Can" that's been a rumored track for awhile and according to many published reports Timmy was to be on her album, yet he's not there.
Sample clearance prevented Tim on Ludacris' album at the last minute which was a let down cuz Timbo + Luda = FIRE
Originally it was reported Tim had a track on Snoop's album called "LA Zoo" but now with lots of different track listings being listed it seems "LA Zoo" has disappeared yet a different Tim track "I Need A Light" will appear.
All I know is Tim is THE man this year, ain't no one even commin' close!
Video: Xzibit F/ Keri Hilson "Hey Now"
Xzibit f/ Keri Hilson "Hey Now" (Mean Muggin') Expect BIG things from Keri in the next year, she's about to blow up!

New Danja Article
Check out the new Danjahandz article. I've always wanted to know which tracks Danja has done solo versus the ones he did with Tim. There has been a lot of speculation and debate among Tim fans over which tracks Danja was a part of. In the end, though, it all boils down to great music.
Take for instance Jeanie Ortega's "So Done" remix. Is that Danja only or Tim and Danja? Too hard to tell in my opinion.

Omarion
Check out the new track from Omarion called "Ice Box" . Allegedly this is track is produced by Timbaland. According to Timbalandchick and other sources, however, this track is actually produced by one of Tim's producers named King.
It sure does sound like Tim on the "I'm so cold I'm so cold" part but who knows. Put this in the could be Timbo tracks and we'll just have to wait and see if it makes the album. Hopefully it won't turn out to be another Sisqo "Really Real".
Check out Omarion's myspace page
30 Years To Life Soundtrack
I figured ok I've heard the rumors, I've heard what could be on the soundtrack so I thought why don't you just watch it? If anything to catch the credits for the music. Here's the soundtrack as it appears in the credits:
30 Years To Life Soundtrack
Special - Sebastian f/ Bubba Sparxxx
Marred -Kelly Price
She Ain't So Bad -Playa (Same as Playa's "Lust")
Happy Birthday -Playa
Simply Irresistable -Ginuwine
Explain It To Me -Tijuana
Baby Girl -Playa
You Owe Me -Nas F/ Ginuwine
Feel The Girl - Ms Jade
Hey Papi -Jay Z
Why this was never released is beyond me. Tim paid for the movie, was the executive producer, but still no soundtrack. There is no mention of Aaliyah's "Time" in the credits though maybe it was unreleased off the unreleased soundtrack. This is one of the rarest "known" collection of Timbaland productions.
