This definitely doesn't sound like much of a "remix" rather Fab just rapping over the track but then again we didn't get much of a video for the track either. Still though check it out:

The Timstrumentals are back. I don't know how a week turned into 2 , then 3...and here we are almost 2 months on.

Fabolous just dropped his 4th album last week, and as we all know, it's fronted by a Timbo-produced track. He's worked w/ Tim on 2 previous occasions, RIGHT NOW & LATER ON off his debut (GHETTO FABOLOUS, 2001) and WAKE UP (a track which remains in limbo today)

Now, I don't think these 'Loso joints capture Tim at his finest, but it does showcase to me how even a mediocre Timbo track still kills the competition (that's a Stan talkin). Another standout thing is how Tim has versatility for days. MAKE ME BETTER and RIGHT NOW... sound nothin alike. RIGHT NOW has some of the sound from back when that Tuff Jew Storch was Timmy's piano man.

I've read some requests in the comment boxes so next week it's gon be Missy double-feature, BEEP ME 911 (both versions, album and remix), down the line it's gon be many a Timmy classic. Glad to be back and in the meantime here go Fabolous...

Fabolous talks Timbaland

****Fabolous has waited long enough. His new album From Nothin’ to Somethin’ is ready for a June release and he has already released some singles. With Def Jam finally, seemingly, behind the project, he spoke about how this album feels and how his latest single went from Jay’s hands to his.

"We got to work with a lot of people we felt would make the album better. Production-wise, the lineup is like the Yankees: Timbaland, Akon, Jermaine Dupri, Just Blaze, Polow Da Don, Neo 'The Matrix.' ... We got great features, too. Each person, I could hear them making the song better. Lil' Mo, Cassidy ... we got a very deep, well-rounded album," he told MTV.

While waiting for the album to hit, he’s also done a lot of growing up.

"I been through situations I never been in before in my life…I got shot, been arrested, been in a relationship. I'm past really rapping for my block or my projects. I'm trying to grow. We been working really hard. I took two months and worked in Miami , then I came back to New York and worked another three months."

Ne-yo, who is a guest on the LP, spoke on Fab’s latest single “Make Me Better.”

"Timbaland produced the track," he said. "The way the song came together, it's actually a track that Jay-Z brought to my attention. He said, 'Tim gave me this track, but it sounds more like an R&B track than a hip-hop track. I really think you should do something to it.' So I wrote the hook, did some verses, and Fab heard it. He said, 'You should let me get on that with you.' Then Fab did some verses and I liked some of his stuff more than my stuff, so I was like, 'You should just take the damn song.' The rest is history. The chemistry is so right, it sounds like we were there [in the studio] together."

Fab agrees.

"It's a great record… We get a lot of love across the country everywhere we play it. It leans towards the ladies, but it's a swagger record. The fellas could dig it too. The fellas are picking up lines from it. They telling ladies, 'I'm cool, but you make me a better person.' I'm happy everybody is receiving it well.
"When you make a relationship song, it's relatable…A lot of people have been in the position when you've been the main person or the mistress. Or maybe you had somebody on the side ... at least once in their life. It's just relatable music. Same thing with 'Make Me Better.' You find that person in your life, then the haters, their antennas go up."****

Finally I can share with you guys the 2nd single of Fabolous' next album "From Nothin' To Somethin'" (Desert Storm/Def Jam Records). Enjoy it, not only cause it's Timbaland (we all gotta wait what the credits say) cause this is way better than that wack ass shit with Young Jeezy what they call 1st single.

***The official first single, though, is "Make Me Better." The track — which features Ne-Yo on the hook and was produced by Timbaland — finds Fab in a very familiar mode, talking to the ladies. The strings will remind hip-hop fans of Raekwon's classic "Rainy Dayz"; as for the lyrics, Fab and Ne-Yo tell ladies they are forces to be reckoned with on their own — but with their ladies upgrading them, they're that much better.

"You want a girl that completes you and makes you better," he explained. "You don't want a girl who brings more arguments and more bills. ... You want a girl who, when you're walking around with your tie crooked, she fixes your tie. .... That's the kind of [woman] I'm looking for. Whether she's a celebrity or non-celebrity don't really matter. You just need somebody you can connect with."It touches so many places," Fab added of the song. "It's a sexy record, plus a swagger record, an anthem record all in one. ... I played it for a couple of dudes a week ago, and they was like, 'I'mma tell my shorty that: "Yo, shorty, you make me better. I'm cool, I'm fly and sh--, but us together, we make a great pair." ' Dudes can take it — it's giving them some game. I felt it could work on all levels."

On the production front, while Timbaland helped man the boards on Fab's debut, Ghetto Fabolous, the rapper and super producer actually didn't get together in the studio this time.

"I never got to actually hook up with Tim," Fab said. "But I was in Miami working for two and a half months. So I would see him out, see him around. I seen him in [Miami hot spot] the Forge a couple of times, and a couple of his records would come on and I'd be like, 'This is what I need.' He'd be laughing and say, 'All right.' He definitely knows I respect his work. [When I went to record 'Make Me Better'] Ne-Yo came in and attacked them strings. He already had a vision. When I came in, all I had to do was put the spice on the sh-- and it was ready. It was smash already to me." ****
