As technology becomes more and more advanced, information is literally a click away and everyone and anyone can make a demo or a "Timbaland beat." Case in point, out of the blue last year came the long awaited unreleased Timbaland produced track "Make It Pop." Not only was it the song, it was the demo sung by the track writer Candice Nelson. Or was it? Take a listen:
For those of us that know Candice's voice, we knew this wasn't her but who else was it? A Candice written track, sung by someone else? Never happened before so why now?
Well The Chronicles being who we are, we did our digging and as it turns out we can tell you exclusively that the track is not only some other singer besides Candice singing but it's not even Timbaland on the beat. Yes that's right not Timbo! So either there was another "Make It Pop" created for J Lo (or a different artist) or we've yet another case of a completely mislabeled track.
Another mystery (or unanswered question) solved!

Jennifer Lopez Wants To Be "Stronger" Too

Hannon Lane created a beauty with the beat for "Stronger" and Davion Farris definitely brought the lyrics and melodies for the track so it was no wonder that a powerhouse like Mary J. Blige would record on it. Though we've never heard Mary's version, I never thought it quite matched her style and it made sense to me that she passed on it.
Yet a good song should never go to waste and that's exactly what J Lo must have been thinking as she too recorded to the track. Take a listen: ![]()
Though I am no fan of J Lo's voice, I will admit this song suits her better than Blige in my opinion. What do you think?
Props to The Keepers for the track.

J Lo "Starting Over" produced by Danja
Here's an (awful) song from J Lo off her forthcoming Love?. Take a listen:
J Lo "Starting Over"
Sorry but this track is just bad. J Lo sounds flat, the beat is mediocre, and it's just one of those tracks you'd skip over. Not sure if it's a first single but if so I can already smell the dust on what would be a shelved album. Harsh true but we all KNOW Danja can do better ("Virginity" anyone?).
Track written by Wynter Gordon.

Correction on Cheri Dennis "Act Like You Know"
I'm not sure who complies the writing credits over at Bad Boy but they really need to get their information accurate before they create the liner notes for Bad Boy's artists. First it was Danity Kane and now it's Cheri Dennis. Despite what the liner notes read, the Timbaland produced track "Act Like You Know" is actually written by Walter Milsap and Candice Nelson. Check the "ohh"s that's all Candice.
Put on your headphones and really listen to that voice sample throughout the track. There's a tail end to it making it sound almost like some sort of African chant. I've been on the lookout for the sample since I first heard it. I love the track, Tim brought back the old sound with it. The reason? It was recorded over 3 years ago and was originally meant for Jennifer Lopez who passed on it.
Just in case you didn't know, despite only 1 J.Lo/Timbaland track ever released ("He'll Be Back" yes with Danja's assistance), Timbo (and Walter and Candice) actually made 3 other tracks for her that were never released:
I Can Get Him Back
In My Life
Make It Pop
Will we ever hear those unreleased tracks? I highly doubt it but you never know if they may pop up in a reformatted form for a different artist.
