What's up Tim stans? It's Friday, and that means another installment of Czar's Sample of the Week. Now, I know I've been gone for a couple of weeks, but I'm back and here to stay.
It's the last Friday in March, and since March marks the month of Tim's birth, this week's installment are all samples from Tim/Tim & Magoo albums. And since I've been gone for two weeks, I'm showcasing three samples this week, which all come from TV show or movie themes.
First off is "Here We Come" off the classic Tim's Bio album. The track samples the famous theme song from "Spiderman." Now, a few years ago, I heard a story of how "Here We Come" came about. The way the story goes is that there was a girl humming the Spiderman theme song in studio builiding. Tim heard her humming the tune, and brought her in the studio to record it. He then just layed down the drums and bassline, and out came "Here We Come." If you listen to the "Here We Come Timstrumental," you can tell that the person doing the theme song isn't Tim, Missy, or Magoo, so there might be some validity to the story.
Second sample that I'm going to showcase is "We at it Again" off the Romeo Must Die Soundtrack. The main guitar samples the theme song from a 1960s spy/science fiction British TV show called "The Prisoner." No story behind "We at it Again," except Tim has done a million different versions of the track (I think we're at 6 versions and counting). I love the way Tim sampled the track!
The last Tim sample for this week is "Naughty Eye" from the thrid Tim and Magoo album, Under Construction Part 2. This might be my favorite track from the album. It samples the theme from the 1907s movie, "The Girl from Petrovka" Now, there is a story behind "Naughty Eye." Tim actually did not sample the theme song from the movie or the soundtrack. Instead, Tim sampled a break beat sample compilation that featured the theme song on one of its series.
So that's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed the samples for this week, and check back next week for another installment of Czar's Sample of the Week.
Peace,
Czar

Vote for Tim's next single
The New Media Department at Interscope wants to know which track is generating the most buzz off Tim's new album and this is where we the fans come in. They want to know our opinions about what we think the 2nd single should be. They are leaning towards "Release" but still want to get feedback from the fans.
So let us know what ya'll are feeling and I will pass it on to Interscope. Yes this is for real and yes your opinions do matter and so let us know!
Danja News
It's Nick here with your weekly Danja fix. First, the news. Danja's song on T.I.'s newest is titled "Tell 'Em I Said That."
I decided to take a page from J-Boogie's book and start a little conspiracy theory: Danja's ghost-productions. Liner notes for Danja tracks read like this: "Danjahandz Muzik (All rights o/b/o itself and Danjahandz Muzik adm. by W.B.M. Nysuc Corp.) (SESAC)." SESAC, his publishing company, tells me some interesting stuff. First of all, it lists some unreleased Justin Timberlake and Katharine McPhee songs:
L'ARC EN CIEL
Publishers: Danjahandz Muzik, Tennman Tunes, Virginia Beach, W B M Music Corp, W B Music Corp
Writers: Floyd Nathaniel Hills, Justin Timberlake, Tim Mosley
and
DON'T TELL ME
Publishers: Bootleggers Stop, Danjahandz Muzik, Jahqae Joints, Lily Dog Music, Universal Music Publ, Universal-PolyGram Intl T, W B M Music Corp
Writers: Bale'wa M Muhammad, Candice Clotiel Nelson, Floyd Nathaniel Hills, Katharine McPhee
and these two strange songs with seemingly no artist, but the same writing team as Katharine McPhee's:
TAKE ME THERE
Publishers: Danjahandz Muzik, Street Lyrics Publishing, W B M Music Corp, W B Music Corp
Writers: Corte Ellis, Floyd Nathaniel Hills
SOME TYPE OF WAY
Publishers: Bootleggers Stop, Danjahandz Muzik, Interior Music Corp., Jahqae Joints, Songs Of Universal, Inc., Universal MCA Music Publiishing, Universal-PolyGram Intl T
Writers: Bale'wa M Muhammad, Candice Clotiel Nelson, David Morris, Floyd Nathaniel Hills
But that's beside the point. SESAC lists Danja as a writer of Utada's "Exodus '04", "Let Me Give You My Love", and "Wonder Bout" and Jennifer Lopez's "He'll Be Back." It doesn't list Xzibit's "Hey Now (Mean Muggin)", but Tim does shout him out at the end of the song. Finally, SESAC lists this song under Danja's repertoire:
GET DOWN
Publishers: Danjahandz Muzik, Virginia Beach
Writers: Floyd Nathaniel Hills, Timothy Mosely
Sounds like N.O.R.E.'s "Get Down (Ooou Ooou)" to me. What do y'all think?
Tim to produce Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake Collab
****Timbaland will produce a remake of the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell classic "You're All I Need To Get By" featuring Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. The song was originally a Motown hit back in 1968 and was re-made more recently by Method Man featuring Mary J. Blige.
The threesome will head into a Los Angeles area recording studio this week to record the Spears/Timberlake duet that will appear on Spears new album.
Earlier this month, Timbaland approached Justin to plead for him to help propel Britney back to the top of the charts.
He said: "I feel her pain, it really bothers me. I asked Justin, 'How would you feel about me working with Britney? Would you do it with me?' He said he would."
A source said: "Britney was extremely touched that Justin had been in contact. Going into the studio is Justin's way of helping her get better."
Britney checked out of Malibu's Promises rehab centre last week. Shortly before she was admitted, she shocked the showbiz world with her bizarre behavior which included shaving her head****

I'm interested in hearing what Tim does with the beat. It'll be hard to top the RZA produced Method Man & Mary J joint from back in the day. Props to Big A as always!

***WWE and Timbaland join forces
World Wrestling Entertainment is pleased to officially announce it has signed a deal to work with Timbaland, the world-famous record producer, song writer, rapper and huge WWE fan. Timbaland is an avid WWE Divas fan, and has big plans to use some of the Sexiest Women in Television in his next video. (No word yet on which lucky Divas will film with Timbaland.)
“WWE is extremely excited about the opportunity to work with Timbaland. We promise the Divas will help make Timbaland the hottest music video ever,” said Kristin Prouty, WWE’s Vice President of Entertainment Relations.
Timbaland’s second solo album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value, will be released worldwide April 3 on Interscope Records. Pretty harsh review I have to say. I have to wonder if people really listen to Tim, really know his music or just look up past articles about his other productions and write them down. Bubba wasn't a pawn yet Ms. Jade was? Come on! Tim's music is definitely not for everyone and his current pop wolrd conquest also doesn't sit well with people but listen to the man, he's making music for fun, dude is happy he's not worried about what music is supposed to sound like, he never has been.
Also check this USA Today article
"Scott is not really in my league," Timbaland says. "I don't dislike him. I like him, but as a producer he can't see me. He don't have a fan base like I've got."
Damn!
Shock Value Bonus Tracks!!
Just when you heard it all from Shock Value, Tim brings another hot BANGER! Hoping we hear a lot more from M.I.A and Tim.
"Come Around"
Listen to the breakdown!! DAMN!! That chanting sample in the background I expect Czar to identify real soon HAAH!
"Hello"
SO SMOOOTH! If this doesn't prove that Keri's the next big thing, I don't know what does. Attitude lettin' 'em know why Warner Brothers givin' him his shine. Definitely an ol' school Tim track reminiscent of the Playa days.
Props to Nick for this, The Chronicles team is on it!

BossPlayya presents: Timstrumental of the Week
Timstrumental of the Week
Things are heatin' up this week. Most fans have either downloaded it already or are gettin ready to stake out their local retailers for it. The new TIMBALAND album. So on the eve of the cd comin out, I tought it would be fitting to take it back to Timbaland's first official release as an artist.
UP JUMPS DA BOOGIE by Magoo & Timbaland. Yeah...that's how it was on the single's cover and in Billboard Magazine when they first came out...Magoo before Tim.
Tim was on a hot streak, following the Aaliyah, Ginuwine & Missy albums, plus he had hit records with SWV and Total charting.
10 years on the song still sounds crazy, I dare you not to get all "bobbleheaded" to this track. Here's hopin' Timmy will still be droppin gems 10 years from now.

Pretty much the samee info we all know about Tim though I liked the part at the end about hearing Kelis in the next studio over. Too bad about Jay Z's "Ain't I" I think Tim was misquoted saying he was "disappointed in Jay" I think it was more he was dissapointed the track didn't make the cut. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it, the leak can't be too far away. Props to Intro for this!
You think you know your Timbo?
So you're a Timbo fan right? Maybe even a Tim stan? But how well do you think you really know him? Favorite food? Color? Who he's worked with? Well take this quiz and find out.
Now I thought I was a Timbo stan for sure but there were a couple on the quiz that I missed so a groupie I shall be. Now if it was all about Tim's music that might be a different story. They may have to include "mega-stalker" as a possible outcome.
Let us know how ya'll did! Props to TimboFan for the link.

Coldplay's next album
We've read the interviews, we've heard all about the mutual respect they have for one another, we've heard the callabos thus far, but now it is official: Timbaland will produce Coldpaly's next album!
**** Coldplay have hired Timbaland to produce their new album.
The British band have asked the American hip-hop mogul to take the helm on their upcoming fourth LP and help them come up with a fresh sound. Timbaland is thrilled the group, fronted by Chris Martin, have chosen him to be their producer and insists he cannot wait to get "into their heads".
He said: "I will try to get into their heads, to see what they thinking about. I will just try to figure out how they are feeling. And if they are feeling a certain way, I will go by that. It's more about everyday life then it is about music." Timbaland has worked with some of the biggest names in pop, including Missy Elliott, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez and P Diddy.
He masterminded Justin Timberlake's worldwide hit album FutureSex/LoveSounds and also produced Nelly Furtado's singles Promiscuous and Maneater. Chris co-wrote Nelly's song All Good Things (Come to an End) with the Canadian singer, Timbaland and Nate 'Danja' Hills. He originally recorded backing vocals on the track but his record label EMI allegedly stopped the version from being released.

Timbaland & Bobby Valentino
We've all heard the Timbo produced first single called "Anonymous" but did you know Tim also produced another track for Bobby Valentino called "Rear View"? Slated to be his second single let's hope Tim brings the heat with it. I wasn't too impresed with "Anonymous" it sounds too much like "My Love" None the less it's good to see these two working together. To read the full article click here.
Now speaking of Bobby V and Timbaland, did you know Bobby V used to be a part of the group Mista? And that their second album had production by Timbo? No one has ever heard this unreleased album so I'm sure it's sitting in the Timbo vault along with all the unrelased goodies. Read more here.
Props as always to Big A for the links!

The Shock Value Leak
Yes Shock Value has leaked as of yesterday. You can easily find the link if you look around the net but it will not be posted here on The Chronicles. Personally, I'm still holding out until the 3rd but word is "Bounce" is incredible. I have had the chance to listen to "Miscommunication" which is simply amazing, Keri's voice is magic.
I hope all of you will show Tim some love come next Tusday and buy the album. Actually I don't even need to say that, I know it's a given ya'll big time fans!
If you have heard the album, tell us what you think in the comment section.
Nephew & Timbaland
Despite what was previoulsy reported the Danish group Nephew will not be on Tim's Shock Value. Here is the latest update via Nephew's blog:
****Unfortunelaty Nephew is not on the track list of the upcoming Timbaland album. But the contact between Nephew and the Amaerican producer is well established.
Marcus Spence, CEO of Mosley Music Group has made the following statement:
"After we made contact with Nephew early December Timbaland unfortunately ended up fighting against time getting his album finished before deadline. The past months have seen him being on tour with Justin Timberlake, in and out of various studios to finish mixing the album – and also finishing new tracks – unfortunately it was not possible to get the Timbaland/Nephew track done in time, but we will continue the collaboration later this year.
Timbaland is a big fan of Nephew."****
For more on Nephew and who the are and what they're about, check out their myspace Hopefully the callabo will one day occur.
Props to Big A for the info!

Timbaland & T.I.
Here is yet another article from Entertainment Weekly about Tim's work with T.I. For all you production heads there's talk of Tim's Ensoniq ASR-10 which he has worked with since Ginuwine's "Pony" days. Great article and I look forward to hearing the final product from T.I and Tim.
Check your newsstands on Monday for the magazine and thanks to Barrie Gordon from Entertainemnt Weekly for the news!
Tim talks about his past
Check out yet another article in Entertainment Weekly on Timmy:
****Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley has been excelling at everything. It seems the super producer/rapper has the midas touch, as he has brought success to many big names such as Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliot, Nelly Furtado, and more. While his previous attempts at making his own album weren’t successful, Tim is making another attempt with Shock Value (due April 3), and it features everyone from Elton John and Dr. Dre to Fall Out Boy. The album is so chock-ful that a contribution from one of hip-hop’s heaviest, Jay-Z, did not make the cut. The album’s deadline was hours away and Jay Z’s track was still incomplete so Tim had no choice but to eliminate it from the record. “Jay’s really disappointed me,” he says.
One man who has tried to take away from Timbaland’s success has been one-time collaborator hip-hop producer Scott Storch. In 2002, Storch was a keyboard player for Timbaland, even playing piano on “Cry Me A River,” which he claimed to have written the hook for. Tim disses Storch on the newly released Shock Value single “Give It To Me” (I’m a real producer and you just the piano man”. Storch quickly shot back: On “Built Like Dat,” he claims that he and Tim’s engineers are the true authors of Tim’s hits. Tim broached the subject of his feud with EW. “I know he got a little record out,” Tim says. “I just want him to destroy his career. Because that’s what he’s doing. But I gotta be real smart. The more I talk about him, the more I big him up…I gotta pray on it.”
And for the first time ever, Tim speaks publicly about when he was shot at age 17. He was doing work as a DJ, and held a series of menial jobs, including washing dishes at a Red Lobster, where he was constantly bumping heads with a local thug. One night, Tim’s tormentor wandered into the kitchen as he was punching the clock to leave. “I got somethin’ for ya,” the guy said. “Oh yeah?” Tim retorted. “What you got?” His nemesis then pumped off a gunshot from a weapon hidden inside a bag; the bullet passed through Tim’s neck and lodged in his right shoulder (fragments remain to this day). One positive thing out of the incident? The shooting helped him form a bond with 50 Cent. “I’ll tell you this,” Tim says, ”if you get shot and you survive, you feel like your;’e an incredible hulk. Them bullets don’t hurt when they go in. But then they got that burnin’, that acid burn. God damn! It feels like a stove burning in your blood. You feel like any minute you gonna be dyin.” And he continues. “I been through some junk,” he sighs. “It ain’t all been peaches and cream.” *****
Shock Value gets pushed back
According to Interscope, Shock Value will now be released April 3rd. I'm not sure the reasoning but let's just hope this is the ONLY push back of the album.

8Ball & MJG "Intro"
8Ball & MJG "Turn Up The Bump"
Young Buck Push Em Back
Danja will also produce on T.I.'s upcoming album, "T.I. v. T.I.P." "I’m working with everybody who I have an opportunity to work with," he said. "Timbaland, I’m working with Danja today."
Bjork talks Timbo
Check out the new interview on Pitchfork:
****Pitchfork: How did you connect with Timbaland?
Bjƶrk: He sampled my song 'JĆ³ga' like 11 years ago, and said many times in the press that he really liked my song from 14 years ago called 'Venus as a Boy'. Actually, we recorded the string section in Bollywood for that, and he was really fascinated by that. We've met at parties and there has been this mutual admiration thing going on for years, and talk of doing stuff, but it never happened.
After doing two or three serious projects in a row, I was just like, 'Okay, where's the fun?' I called him a year ago, and said, 'Let's do something.'
Pitchfork: What was it like working with him?
Bjƶrk: That was very...very different. I work so much on my own, which I enjoy very much. 90% of every album is me editing on a computer or writing, walking outside writing melodies, or writing lyrics, or, as in the case of this album, doing brass arrangements, so it's a lot of solitude there, which I love. But when it comes to collaborating, I'm really excited about leaving all that behind and just merging with somebody who is hopefully quite different from me.
We always felt, even though we're really, really different, we sort of have this very small section, this sort of mutual ground, in a strange way. It was interesting to go into a studio with a person that you haven't met that often.
The first time I met him, he was like, 'So what do you wanna do? You wanna do something weird? Or something like a hit?' And I'm like, 'How can you say that?' I could never work like that-- sort of decide what it is before you even start. And I was like, 'I'm just curious where you and I meet, where is our natural...' You know, if you put together this circle and this circle, where's the natural overlap?
He wanted to do a sort of '"Cry Me a River' kind of track, and I have a different luggage, I listen to 80s indie bands. That to me sounds like [sings] 'Take my Breath Away'. I love when he does rave shit, like really roots synthy stuff, and just humor. I think his stuff, especially with Missy Elliot, there's a lot of humor there, and also taking the piss out of themselves, which is something that maybe people just don't do much. It's pretty rare.****
Nice to see Tim just letting go and being more open to others with his music. There has been a huge change in Timbo these last 2 years and it's refreshing to finally see the man having fun and just going with the flow more.
Can't wait for Bjork's album! Props to Timbofan for the info.

Dope article! 600 grand a track? GOT DAMN! Be on the look out for the Shrek The Third and Kung Fu Panda soundtracks. Nice to get the real reasoning behind the Jodeci/Tim split verus just speculation. "Get Ur Freak On" in 2 minutes?!? And let's hope Tim keeps turning out his masterpieces in all genres of music.
Im my opinion Tim is a genius tens steps of everyone, but the sacrifice for that is perhaps being lableled quiet or socially ackward. It's hard to roll with a genius, they just don't think like the rest of us so let them do their thing, back up give them some space. It's good to see Tim laughing now and enjoying himself. Sure the dude is cocky, it's part of the whole space he's in at the moment but dude deserves it. He has forever changed the way we listen to music. What ya'll think?

BossPlayya presents: Timstrumental of the Week
Figured I'd use this week to take a lil break from the Superfriends to highlight a track that blew me away when it dropped. Beanie Sigel's IN THE CLUB. The track was first featured on the BACKSTAGE soundtrack compilation by DJ Clue in 1999.
What struck me was how different it sounded from Timmy's 'sound' at the time but still had that Tim feel. Does that make sense?! It showcased Tim's versatility to me, all the reviews for that album always namedropped that song as one of the highlights, so I dont get that it never exploded on the charts when the video for it came out. Thank God it was released as a single too, or we might never have heard the DJ Clue-less version (by far the superior one), and we would never have gotten this incredible Timstumental.

New Timbaland Radio Interview
Check out the Timbaland radio interview on Kidd Kraddick in the morning. Go 1/2 way down the page and you'll see the interview, hit the "kpod" link and you'll see the interview in 2 parts.
Timbaland Radio Interview
First off did you hear that Tim was just with Ginuwine? Hmmm I would definitely say that should end any of those rumors that the two are beefin'. And did the DJ really ask Tim if Bubba was on his label? Where do they get these radio people? Do your homework!
Besides that what really was the point of this interview? To play Tim tracks and have him beat box? The only good thing about this interview was hearing the Fallout Boy track again in better quality. April 3rd is right around the corner. Props to Big A as always for the link!

Brain Kidd Discography
In case you haven't read the other Brian Kidd posts I have done, BK is a producer who used to work with Timbaland and even produced some tracks under Timbaland productions. Currently he has been working a lot with The Clutch and can be heard on 2 tracks off Rich Boy's new album.
Ya'll know hat a big time Brian Kdid fan I am, so I thought I'd put together his discography
for everyone to check out. I have a feeling there might be some tracks on there that ya'll never knew he did.
Word to the wise, don't always believe the liner notes. I used think they were always right and there was no way they could be inaccurate but as I've learned through the years, they can be very misleading and they don't always credit who really produced a track.
Look out for Hannon Lane's discography coming soon. It's gonna be a tough one to put together.
Jay-Z not on Shock Value
Sad but true:
First Tim isn't on Jay's album and now Jay isn't on Tim's. Not sure the exact reasoning for this, more than likely sample clearence as I know Jay and Tim are good friends.

Bossplayya's Timstrumental of the Week
This week, I'm keepin' it with the OG Supafriendz clique. And keepin' it in 1996. ONE IN A MILLION was an album track first, but before that hit the airwaves, Tim had his first 'Major' hit with Ginuwine's debut single PONY.
I could not get that song outta my head when it came out, of course I copped the album on the Tuesday it dropped...and lo & behold, once again the name TIMBALAND was in front of me. The intro and other joints almost made me forget about PONY, but that song was just undeniable.
Usually when you pick up records a decade after they drop, you notice that slow jams tend to age well, while the uptempo joints inevitably sound dated (check Jodeci's FOREVER MY LADY album). It's a testament to Timbo's genius that PONY still sounds as fresh as it did 11 yrs ago, and just think Timbo has said he had that beat for years before the record dropped...

Bjork Update
Check out some new Bjork news:
****Every Bjork album is extraordinary, but Volta, her latest, features a mind-boggling set of collaborators, moods and motifs. Right-hand man Mark Bell is on-side once again, but the guest list also includes hip-hop ace Timbaland, kora master Toumani Diabate, Antony Hegarty from Antony and the Johnsons, Lightning Bolt speed-drummer Brian Chippendale, avant-drummer-for-hire Chris Corsano, Congolese experimentalists Konono No 1 and an Icelandic brass section. The point seems to be emphasising great beats, and musical meeting points, as an antidote to world strife, and she's going to tour the world with a 30-piece band. We've heard five tracks.
Each is more dazzling than the last. Most newsworthy, perhaps, is lead single 'Earth Intruders', one of two amazing Timbaland-assisted beats. It finds Bjork returning playfully to the dancefloor after a long absence, with busy, loaded rhythms and Konono No 1 on what sound like Eighties arcade thumb pianos. Radically different is Bjork's lovey-dovey duet with Antony Hegarty. It's shaping up to be a crusading, troubled, joyous set.****
Can't wait!

Happy Birthday Timbaland
Timbaland's birthday is on March 10th and my girl Timbalandchick created this Birthday Card for him.
Be sure to stop by and sign it and you can bet that Tim will definitely see the card if Timbochick is involved. Thanks Jess!
Happy Birthday Timbo!
Czar's Sample of the Week
What's up fellow Timbo stans? It's friday again so that means another installment of Czar's Sample of the Week. This week's sample will again come from an artist who has not been showcased on Czar's Sample of the Week: Nas.
One of my favorite tracks off the classic Tim album, Tim's Bio, has to be "To My" featuring Nas and Mad Skillz. To hear one of my favorite rappers and one of my favorite producers on the same track was just amazing. Well the track samples Aretha Franklin's "The Thrill is Gone" off her 1970 album "Spirit in the Dark" (an album that Kanye West would later sample for "School Spirit"). Again, I love what Tim did with the piano in the opening.
So that's it for this week, check back next week for another installment of Czar's Sample of the Week. Have a great weekend!
Peace,
Czar

Props to Hypnotik for the info and all my Beat Club fam for the translation and info!
Timbaland & Britney Spears....... AND Justin Timberlake!!
Straight from Entertainment Weekly. Here's a clip from the article in the new issue hitting stands on Friday:
****Super-producer Timbaland has plans to revive Britney’s career, and his “best friend” Justin Timberlake may help as well. The hitmaker revealed to EW that Spears’ ex Justin Timberlake would be willing to reunite with Britney in the studio. “I asked Justin, ‘How would you feel about me working with Britney?’ I had to ask him that. I said, ‘Would you do it with me?’” According to Timbaland, the singer said he would. “She’s just gotta be serious.”
The troubled star is currently enrolled in a 30-day-minimum rehab program at Promises Malibu, an inpatient treatment center in Southern California . “I feel her pain, it really bothers me,” says Timbaland, his voice cracking with emotion. “I’m the type of person who tries to save the world. I just want to take her away, go overseas, and work [it] out.”
Even though insiders say it could be a year before Spears’ fifth studio album is completed, Timbaland will be waiting. “I just want to hold her hand. I want her to be in my camp, to be around Justin. I need Justin to talk to her. Help her, please!”****

BIG thanks to Entertainment Weekly and my girl Ronde for the story!
Fallout Boy tracks leaks
Fallout Boy's Timbaland produced track "One And Only" off Shock Value has leaked. It is a radio rip so the qulaity is not very good but none the less it is officially off the album. I have not heard it and despite the all the voices of stan yelling in my head, I won't listen to it until the album drops.
You can find the track by doing searching the net. I guarantee you if you look hard enough you'll find it. Tell me what ya'll think about it. Props to Kali for the hook up.
More Scott Storch disses
Just when you thought it was over, here comes some more Storch disses.
In case ya'll haven't heard it yet, Attitude has done a diss track called "You Wouldn't Get Far" I gotta admit the track is hella funny! Attitude spittin' with that fire over the hot Game beat. Props to Timbo Da King for the link!
Medina has also done a Storch diss track and you can hear it on his myspace. It's called "Even Superman Dies" Smart move on Medina's part to get some shine.
At this point I don't know how serious this going to get but it seems like Timbo got a lot peeps lookin' out for him. Hopefully it'll all blow over soon and we can go back to enjoying Timbo and Storch's music.

Check out the interview
The VJs mention Tim tracks with Nas and Jay Z which is pretty interesting since they were never released. Glad to hear an interview that is at lesat a little different than the normal Tim ones.

Bossplayya's Timstrumental of the Week
***We have a new member to The Chronicles team and his name is Bossplayya. A legend among Tim fans not only for his extensive Timbo knowledge but also since he actaully owns what the rest of us just talk about. Check out his first in what should be a long running weekly posting of Timbaland instrumentals.***
On the eve of Timbaland releasin' a new album, I gotta take it back to when I officially became a fan...check that, Stan. ONE IN A MILLION. Aaliyah's sophomore album dropped on August 27, 1996 (same day as Outkast's 2nd record). Wasnt expectin much, bought it outta customer loyalty, she wasn't w/ R kelly anymore, how good could it be right? Outkast didnt even make it out the wrapper that week, 'who the fuck is TIMBALAND?!' I thought.
And it was all about one track in particular, a song I feel has influenced the course of ALL R&B and HipHop that came after. Not the lyrics penned by Missy, it was the drum pattern, the instrumental. I contend that had it not been for that song on that album, 'urban' music as it is today could not be possible. Timbo talks about reshapin' radio w/ his beats, this was the first time.

The Clipse & Timbo
Check out this interview from Pitchfork where Malice of The Clipse talks about their new album, his favorite MCs, and DJ Timmy Tim among other things.
The Clipse Interview
Definitely some interesting news right there. I always wondered why "Zen" didn't make the cut and can you imagine The Clipse teaming up with Tim even for one track? That would be some fire! Plus a movie musical to Hell Hath No Fury? Damn!
HUGE props to Nykro for the article!

Bjork's Press Release
From Bjork.com
"Musical innovator Bjƶrk releases her next studio album ‘Volta’ on May 7th 2007.
‘Volta’ is Bjƶrk's sixth studio album and follows the release of ‘MedĆŗlla’ in 2004.
Featuring ten brand new and original tracks ‘Volta’ is entirely written and produced by Bjƶrk.
In the role of producer Bjƶrk has brought in various other musicians to work on her songs and ‘Volta’ features some of her most interesting collaborations so far with Antony Hegarty (Antony And The Johnsons) singing on two tracks, and Timbaland (Jay-Z, Missy Elliot etc) working with Bjƶrk on beats that she created for three further songs.
Other artists that feature on ‘Volta’ include electronic pioneer Mark Bell of LFO and two unique drummers – Chris Corsano (the improvisational drummer who has worked with Sonic Youth amongst others) and Brian Chippendale from Lightening Bolt.
Bjƶrk also brought in two acclaimed African artists for ‘Volta’ - Toumani Diabate, the Malian kora player and Konono No1 the experimental band from The Congo who won a BBC World Music Award in 2006. She has also put together her own 10 piece female brass section of Icelandic musicians who play on three further tracks. Meanwhile Chinese pipa expert Min Xiao-Fen plays on one song."
So from 7 to 1 to 2, now it seems like 3 Timbo beats will be on the album. Can't wait for this album!
D.O.E disses Storch
Commin' in for that 1, 2 punch is my man D.O.E on a Tim beat. D.O.E. didn't just make a diss track, dude created a diss song!
Dude was on fire in the studio. Check it:
"Piano Man"
Ill beat but listen to D.O.E dude ain't playin'!! He's got some classic lines in there "You dissin' a black man in Black Histroy month??" but the best part is the end when the beat switch to the Hammer track produced by Storch f/ that dude Nox. Of course I'm biased but still D.O.E OWNED Storch on this track!
What ya'll think? Props to my man Big A for the track!

Czar's Sample of the Week
What's up y'all? It's Friday again, and that means another installment of Czar's Sample of the Week. When I saw Boogie's "Where are they now" thread on Black from Playa, I rememered that Playa had been totally neglected in Czar's Samples of the Week. This week's sample will fix that problem by showcasing a Playa sample.
Now, if you haven't heard Playa's "Cheers 2 U" album, then you are certainly missing out. From beginning to end, it's an amazing album that everyone should own. Two of my favorite tracks off that album are "Cheers 2 U" and "Ms. Parker" Interestingly enough, both these tracks share the same sample (although the one on "Cheers 2 U" is harder to hear). The guitar stab (and in "Ms. Parker," the main beat) featured on both tracks was sampled from the Dramatics hit song "In the Rain." Again, I love how Tim used the guitar on both tracks.
That's it for this week. I hope you all enjoyed this week's installment. Have a great weekend, and I'll catch y'all next Friday for Czar's Sample of the Week.
Peace,
Czar

The label also has a myspace showcasing their various artists like Komittee.

16. Can't Turn Back Now Written by: Black Produced by: D. Sounds
Bonus Track: Lust F/ Playa Written by ?? Produced by ?? (Timbo apparently produced this track but I have no solid evidence that he was on the boards for it so ??)
Definitely a dope album that I suggest ya'll cop. You can buy it off his website and be sure to check out some of his new tracks off his myspace. Black was definitely a huge part of Playa but dude doesn't look like he's slowin' down with the music makin'. Hopefully as time progresses we'll be hearin' more and more from a true talent in the industry. HUGE props to my man G and Bossplayya for all the info!
