Timbaland and Jay-Z too good to be true

You knew it right? Deep down as much as you wanted it to be true and as much as you hoped it to be true, in the end it was all just unconfirmed hype. Jay-Z recently spoke with Rolling Stone and had this to say about his entirely Timbaland produced next album:

You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it’s premature. I’m a person that works off music. If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction.

So the question or rather the challenge is: Can Timbaland produce 10 great tracks worthy of an entire Jay Z album? What do you think?

Attitude givews us T.I.M in 2009

Birmingham, Alabama native, Attitude, born Timothy Clayton, is gearing up for his debut release tentatively titled T.I.M (Time is Money) slated for a 1st Quarter 2009 release on Warner Bros. Records. Attitude is no stranger to the music industry. His background includes songwriting credit and features for producer Timbaland, Rich Boy, Bubba Sparxxx and most notably penning hit single “Promiscuous” for Nelly Furtado. Attitude expresses the vision for the upcoming album as “a landmark album for Alabama. When you listen to my album it can be compared to a whole week or day-in-the-life of Attitude condensed into 70 minutes. I try to make my music as close to me as possible.”

Fans can expect an album with lyrics detailing Attitude’s experiences in the streets to his growth as an artist and songwriter. The album is rounded out with production by DJ Toomp, DJ Montay, Danja, and Justice League. WBR Executive, Kevin Black, reveals “You’ve never seen an artist like (Attitude) - a superb writer, rapper and performer. Wait until you hear his new album!”

The first single “Man Right Here,” produced by Danja, is being serviced nationally on August 4th, and expected to impact radio in September. Attitude and Danja have collaborated previously as a part of Timbaland’s production team (Attitude wrote “Promiscuous” for Nelly Furtado and Danja produced the record).

Written by The Clutch and produced by Danja:

Cassie featuring Lil' Wayne "Official Girl"

What do you all think about Lil' Wayne's addition? 13,000 downloads and counting so I'd call it a smart move.

Keri Hilson performance

As the show progressed there was a previously unheard track recognized for its sample of LL Cool JJ's "Doin' It." Later after the show Keri revealed the track is called "Do It" and will be on the new album. No word on the producer but even so we have another track name for In A Perfect World

Chris Cornell talks new album Scream

Chris Cornell talked with MTV about his new album Scream due to be released in the fall. There are definitely mixed reviews about the snippets heard so far with some longtime Cornell fans seemingly disappointed in what they've been hearing. Seems as though a Cornell and Timbaland collaboration sounds well just as it would seem: Chris Cornell singing over a Timbaland beat and that fact has been greeted with ambivalence from fans.

Yet despite any fan reservations, Cornell agrees that it his best work of his career and has said the fan response he has gotten have been "really good." Cornell also talked about how he met Timbaland and how Tim didn't want to do just a few songs rather an entire album with the rocker. "He was super into that ... and we got into the studio and made a whole album," Cornell said of the LP, which they wrote and recorded in six weeks. "But then we went off in this direction of musically, sort of conceptually tying the whole thing together [so that] it almost harkens back to albums that I listened to when I was a kid, where the music never stops. It's really an album-oriented album."

Cornell also shared his high praises for Timbaland,He's somebody who's also a musical genius and a songwriter and records in very unorthodox ways. ... He's sort of reinventing the way he does things at the same time as working with an artist. You can't compare him to anyone. You can read the full article on here.

In addition, Chris Cornell stopped by New York's 101.9 and played 5 songs for the radio station including 2 tracks we haven't heard yet "Never Far Away" and "Scream." Check it out here along with a 5 part podcast of the interview.

What do you think of the new tracks?

Timbaland confirms Shock Value II album

Timbaland has confirmed with MTV that Shock Value II is in the works.

"Shock Value is really like the Now [That's What I Call Music!] compilation. That's my goal for this — not [to showcase] me as an artist. Of course I'll do my little part, introduce some people. It gives me room to go tour across the world. People request me. I put on a show. I put on a musical show.

Right now, I have a song with Madonna that I didn't put on her album. I saved [it] in case I wanna do one for me. Of course I'mma do one with Beyoncé. Of course I'mma do one with Jordin Sparks, Rihanna. It's a lot of people. I'mma do one with Jonas Brothers. I'mma try to have 10 major ones."

As far as hip hop, Tim's looking at T.I., wants Jay-Z (Jay was really on the last one, but he wanted to change [the song]. I said, 'Look, man, I gotta put out an album. You're killing me.') and already has T-Pain (remember I said to check part II of a certain album)

We told you about the Jonas Brothers collabo and hopefully some additional work with Gwen Stefani (finally!) and Linkin Park. Will we finally get Mary J. Blige's "Skycap"? Let's hope so.

Timbo also talked about the success of the first Shock Value album:

It be hot for the world. I really do focus groups. I get reports, readouts. I'm not gonna talk about it. If you ask for documentation, I got it. I'm a businessman and at the same time a CEO. But I looked at the charts: I went platinum in 16 different countries. Africa? Double platinum. Ireland? Double platinum. New Zealand? Triple platinum. London? Platinum. London is the hardest place to go platinum. France? Platinum. They don't like nobody unless you French, but they like me.

Here comes another Timbaland album!

More confirmed tracks from Keri's In A Perfect World

Reading through Keri Hilson's official bio, more tracks have been confirmed for her debut album.

"I deliver my songs with emotion," she enthuses, "I don't like a lot of effects. It takes away from the emotion. Like the raspyness of my voice in 'Slow Dance' (written with Justin Timberlake) for example. I love the way I sound on that track—straightforward, throwback, and old school. I don't want that feeling taken away. I'm so particular about those emotions. I don't want anyone to walk away from my album just thinking, 'that sounds nice.' Anybody can do that. I’m much more concerned that they walk away thinking, 'that felt great.'"

For her humility, the album is as dizzyingly good as it should be. It's a watershed moment that meets both goals—it sounds and feels great. The songs are unconventional. It's universally appealing in its pop offerings (infectious hooks are plenty) but the arrangements are challenging in how many layers there are to listen to. Heavy synth-laden basslines to the classical guitar in the tensely urgent Polow-produced "Ready to Fall," Keri anchors it all with a pitch-perfect voice that is refreshing in its versatility. From the sweeping cinematic orchestration of Timbaland's "Mic Check" ("I loved harnessing all that aggression in my voice.") to the speedy cascading electro bassline of "Return the Favor." The mutual trust between artist and producers allows them to take bold risks. Keri shouts out all the “fly girls” on her song “Get It Girl”. “A ‘Get It Girl’ is focused on getting everything she wants out of life. She is strong, independent, determined, loves to have fun, always stays fresh - and no matter what, accepts no limitations.”

We talked about tracks for the album before but let's update what tracks we know for sure on the album:

"Energy" produced by Runaways
"Get Me Off (The Bench)" produced by ?
"Happy Juice" F/ Snoop Dogg produced by Danja
"Slow Dance" produced by Timbaland & Royal Court
"Get It Girl" produced by Timbaland
"Mic Check" produced by Timbaland
"Return The Favor" produced by Timbaland
"Where Did He Go" produced by Timbaland
"How Does It Feel" produced by Timbaland
"Let Me Go" Produced by Timbaland
"Ready To Fall" produced by Polow
"Turn Off" F/ Lil' Wayne produced by Polow

And if the tracks make the final cut add:
"Quicksand" F/ Justin Timberlake produced by Timbaland
"Alienate" produced by Cory Bold
"Too Proud" produced by ?

Plus there's 2 other tracks registered under Keri's name:
"Sidewalk" produced by Melvin "St Nick" Coleman
"You Said" produced by Antonio Dixon

Missy Elliott's Block Party gets pushed back?

There seems to be some confusion as to when Missy's long awaited new album Block Party will be released. To date we have:

Amazon says September 30
HMV says August 25 (September 10 in Japan)
CD Universe says September 30
MTV says September 30

So has the album been pushed back? Looks that way.

In addition you can check out Missy performing her Timbo produced "Shake Your Pom Pom" on America's Best Dance Crew tomorrow at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. During her performance, the remaining 4 crews will be preforming to the song and for the rest of the show the crews will perform to various Missy tracks throughout her career. Check it out!

Jim Beanz and The Clutch on Chris Cornell's first snippets

We told you about Jim Beanz' involvement in the Chris Cornell album, but we're not talking about one or two songs, rather Beanz had a hand in 12 songs from the forthcoming project. Of the songs we know so far, Beanz wrote "Ground Zero" as well as co-wrote "Watch Out." In addition to Jim Beanz' magic, The Clutch also lend their skills having penned the tracks "Part Of Me" and "Long Gone."

Still no name for the album and still no official release date but we'll keep you posted when we get more news.

Izza Kizza drops "11ven 12welve", checks in with URB and Paste Magazine

Without question Izza Kizza is part of the new era of music. Instead of letting the industry dictate how and where he promotes himself, he's taking matters into his own hands, tapping into the what else? The best marketing tool out there: the internet. Check out the new video for his latest release "11ven 12welve" produced by Timbaland:

Now if you don't recognize the beginning of the video? You should since it's where Kizz got his inspiration for the track. None other than Sesame Street's "1,2,3,4,5...".

Now if you've got your ears on you'll hear my favorite part of the track, the cell phone ringing at 1:40 Ha! Hence why the track is a demo only. After an unfortunate hard drive crash only one version of the song was recorded so look for a fully mastered, cellphoneless version coming soon.

Wait there's more: Kizza continues his media takeover! Check out the new issue of Urb Magazine to get the latest in the mind of the Kizz and hear Kizz and 88 Keys on their newest podcast for URB Don't Know Don't Car Vol. 3

Izza is also in the latest of Paste Magazine as well as "Red Wine" being featured on the album sampler for Issue #44.

We’re going to do a Michael Jackson mixtape, then a Prince mixtape. I’ll go get Earth, Wind & Fire’s greatest-hits album, put my flavor on it and do a mixtape. I’ll go back and get an Otis Redding album and put my flavor on it.

AND if it possible for Izza Kizza to be ANY bigger, check out next month's issue of Spin magazine as well as September's issue of Rolling Stone! To have this much press without a release or even upcoming release of an album is unheard of. Don't miss the Izza Kizza train!

New Kids On The Block will work with Timbaland

The Chronicles can now 100% confirm that the New Kids On The Block will be working with Timbaland and Jim Beanz. It's hard to believe it was almost 20 years ago since The New Kids were around.

Yet if there's anyone who can make the New Kids sound as fresh and relevant in today's music as if they never "left", it's Timbo and Jim Beanz.

Attitude gets Danja for 1st single

Attitude aka Mr. Time Is Money will be dropping his Warner Brothers debut album very soon. The lead single will be "Man Right Here" produced by DanjaHandz. Other producers on the project will include Timbaland and Polow.

We'll definitely keep you posted on more to come from 'Tude!

Who Flipped It Better: Timbaland Vs. Rishi Rich Vs. Bombay Rockers

Here's another installment of who does the best flip of the same sample. This time around we're looking at a classic Tim sample used from one of his favorite and often used sample CDs. Starting with Timbaland, the year was 2002 and we were all still trying to cool off from Tweet's red hot #1 touch yourself anthem "Oops (Oh My)." Her next single was the the more upbeat but just as bad ass "Call Me", still to this day one of my favorite Tim beats just for that sample alone. Though the single didn't fair as well as it's predecessor, Tweet with Timbo's help had secured herself on the music map.

Jump ahead to 2004, and UK Indian R&B artist Jay Sean released his debut album Me Against Myself and the track:

"Eyes On You" produced by Rishi Rich

And yes you're right this is the same Jay Sean who recently released another album which reportedly had Timbaland on production yet Tim was not on the album. Yes even Amazon gets it wrong.

Last but not least, in late 2003 the Danish duo Bombay Rockers released the track "Sexy Mama" off their hit debut album Introducing...:

"Sexy Mama" produced by Thomas of the Bombay Rockers

So as we always ask Who Flipped It Better? And this should be a real easy one, where's the sample from?

Timbaland to work with New Kids On The Block?

I cringed when I first read this news and as I kept reading my inner Timbo stan started screaming "but WHY!?" but then I checked the source and was soothed by the more than likely possibility it's all a rumor. So the story goes that Timbaland is set to be working very soon with 80s boy band New Kids On The Block on their comeback album. Knowing what Tim has to offer and being fans of his work, the New Kids want Timbaland to ask Madonna if she could contribute to their album as well.

Here's where the legitimacy could come in. New Kid Joey MacIntyre is quoted (quotes equal truth right?) as saying "It's so exciting. We loved what Timbaland did with Madonna's 4 Minutes and can't wait to see what he has in store for us." Fellow Kid Jordan Knight added: "I know he's putting in a good word for us to have Madonna on the album. It's looking good. Fingers crossed!"

The original source is the UK's gossip tabloid The Mirror and has been run by various media outlets the last week. So is it true? With all the pop Timbaland has been doing, yes quite possibly. Will Madonna be on a New Kids On The Block album? I highly doubt it.

New Kids and Timbo, who's next?

One Republic to release "Mercy"

I'll be the first to admit, I'm not on my game when it comes to One Republic. I don't know their history very well with the exception of Ryan Tedder. Case in point, for their new single "Mercy" I had no idea there was already a video out prior to their signing to Mosley Music Group. The same can be said for the pre-remix "Apologize" which I also didn't know at the time was a real video versus fan made and as with "Apologize", the video for "Mercy" will be a completely new one with shooting beginning very soon.

The track looks to be released sometime in late September/early October some of One Republic's UK dates. Speaking of has anyone gone to any of their shows?

Here's their new single:

"Mercy"

Keri Hilson talks "Energy", graces the cover of Rap-Up magazine, announces tour

Keri Hilson on her video "Energy":

Women, we're such hopeless romantics, and we want every man to be Mr. Right. This song goes from good love to bad love. You know, you kind of get drained of your energy after a while. You've become spent when it doesn't work out with the person you're in love with or you're in a relationship with someone who doesn't do the things you do for them.

Basically, I play a female boxer who's in a relationship. I spar with my boyfriend at times. It starts really, really good, and as the video plays out, you see how much energy I put into this relationship or how little is reciprocated back to me.

Here's more:

Check out Keri on the cover, along with Teyana Taylor and Solange Knowles, of the summer issue of Rap-Up magazine. Here's a behind the scenes look of the photoshoot:

Speaking of Teyana Taylor, her Clutch filled debut album has been pushed back due to the lack of buzz from her debut single "Google Me". Rumor has it she's back in the studio with The Neptunes. Let's hope The Clutch tracks don't get cut.

"4 Minutes" biggest single for Madonna in 18 years

18 years ago Madonna released "Vogue" which ended up becoming her biggest selling single of all time. Fast forward to the present as the Timbaland and Danja produced "4 Minutes" has just hit the 2 million sold mark and counting, closing in on "Vogue" for the top spot. Despite not going #1 on the American Billboard charts, the track did spend 11 weeks atop the world charts.

With all that success you'd think her 2nd single would be a no brainer for success but so far "Give It 2 Me" has not faired as well as "4 Minutes" though the track has just hit radio stations. The 3rd single is looking to be a double A side of "Miles Away" and "Beat Goes On."

In addition, Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour starts in August with a million tickets already sold. The show will include the Timbo tracks "Miles Away", "4 Minutes", and a piano version of "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You." In addition, Madonna will also be performing past tracks including "Human Nature" which will contain samples of Britney Spears "Gimmie More" and a reworked version of "Vogue" which will contain samples of both "4 Minutes" and Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous Girl."

Last but not least listen to this:

MTV's Total Request Live today: Keri Hilson and Timbaland

Keri and Timbo will be on TRL today to promote her newly released video for "Energy." Be sure to tune in and mabye we'll get some more news about the Timbo & Jay-Z album.

You can also see Keri performing "Hero" with Nas on the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight on ABC at 9:05PST. Keri is EVERYWHERE these days. Props to DJ Triumph on the update.

Timbaland to produce Jay-Z's next album

First new music and now some incredible news. Timbaland is looking to produce Jay-Z's entire next album! MTV sat down with Timbo who shared his thoughts on the forthcoming project:

He wants me to do the whole thing this time around. I'mma make it a classic too. You better believe it. It'll be a monster! I always say this: You get a first single from me, I'mma get you up to gold. And it's hard to get you up to gold in this day [and age].

Jay should never chill. We had a long talk, and I really talked to him. Jay-Z does it for the love. That's different. When somebody does it for the love, you don't stop. He has everything, but he's still current. A million people are buying his album regardless.

We wanna go to the world. The world is 'Big Pimpin'.' 'Big Pimpin' ' is an international hit, so we wanna do 10 of those. Meaning, some of the songs gonna sound like M.I.A. would rap on some of the beats. You gonna be like, 'Whoa!' But it's Jay on 'em. That means it reaches everywhere. I'mma have songs with bagpipes. The music is gonna be so worldwide, he'll be able to tour the rest of his life, maybe, off just this one album. The Jay-Z album is gonna be phenomenal. You know why? We don't care. We're doing great music just to do it. We doing it for our fans who love us to say we ain't quit. I'm doing it 'cause that's my homeboy."

Tour the rest of his life off just this one album? That's a big, bold statement so let's hope the album will be as incredible as Tim makes it sound. They haven't even gone into the studio yet and already Tim is talking like this. He must have some heat for Jay, bagpipes and all! Speaking of big albums, Timbo continued to praise his own work on the Chris Cornell album:

It's the best work I've done so far. I could be like, 'Wow. I really took it there. It beats Justin's album. Justin even said that. He listened to it and said, 'You did it again.'"

So Jay-Z and Timbaland, 1 entire album, what you think?

Timbaland plays Club Cameo in Miami

It's not often you hear of Timbaland doing a DJ set but that's exactly what he did a few weeks back at the famed Club Cameo in Miami. Resident DJ, DJ Irie, had this to say about the event:

Everything kicked-off Friday June 27th at Cameo on South Beach! The club was off the hook with anticipation of Timbaland taking over the DJ booth. Everyone from Kristen Cavallari, Zach Braf, Donald Faison, Alfonso Ribeiro, Eve, Chris Kirkpatrick and a host of other celebrities and athletes were on hand to witness Timbaland on the turntables, dropping some exclusive tracks he’s been working on for the new album. It was CRAZY because this is something Tim never does. The crowd was losing their minds and by the fourth record we had to just stop the madness and start all over again!

Every time Tim thought the crowd had enough he would ask “are you tired yet?” and the crowd would holler back in perfect harmony an emphatic NO!!!! We really shut it down when we took everybody back to all the classic Timbaland hits! Before I could let Tim leave the stage I had to bring out Tim’s wife Monique and surprised them both with a cake in honor of their newlywed status! I had just come back from their wedding in Aruba so the love was still fresh in the air. The entire club cheered them on with well wishes!

I wish I was there that night! Speaking of clubs, Timmy was nominated for a 2008 Club World Award for Best One Off for his night at Pure in Las Vegas with DJ AM. Though not a winner, Tim continues his global takeover in all arenas.

Missy hits a "block" with Timbaland

A recent interview has Missy addressing comments Timbaland made about he and Missy moving apart musically. The article says the comments were made in October but where Timbo made those comments I have no idea. If you remember Tim did say Missy was too over the top for people so maybe that's what this new article is referring too. Anyhow here's what Miss Miss had to say:

On Tim's comments: "Tim likes to do different music. At that point, he was trying to build his side on the crossover. He had done everything you can possibly do on the hip-hop side. The thing is me and Tim have been doing this for years. There comes a time where we both get a block on what we want to do. We've just built a big catalogue. We sit there and go, `What do we do now?' That was a choice him and I made. He was still a part of my album. I played it for him, and he told me what he thought I should keep."

On what direction to go: "It becomes hard since my first album was my easiest album. After the first, the expectations are higher. You always get rushed. Labels want you to put things out all the time. Sometimes I think you have to take that period or break to get your mind together so things won't sound the same. So you won't be repeating stuff."

There's always this talk about Missy and Timbo being too creative for today's music audience yet when is the last time you heard a real Missy and Timmy banger? "Joy"? "Work It"?

Teairra Mari and Timbaland revisited

A long time ago we told you about Teairra Mari getting Timbaland for her next album and 10 months later it is still confirmed Tim will be on the album. Slated for a late 2008/early 2009 release, Mari has joined the Interscope rooster after being dropped from Def Jam. "I got a call before my high-school graduation," recalls Mari. "I kept it to myself for about six months; I didn't even tell my mom. Then news about it started coming out on the radio. I stopped doing music for a year." Along with Timbo, JR Rotem and Neff-U with also be contirbuting to the album.

I'll be interested to hear the Timbaland track since by the time her album comes out it will have been over a year since the track was created.

Danjstrumental of the Week

Is this a preview of the next single? Could be so for now check out:

Day26 "In My Bed" Danjstumental

Of all Danja tracks this one is the perfect example of his diversity in my opinion. Very un-Danja in many aspects and he continues to explore new sounds that, more often than not, really bring that unique Danja quality to a track. He's definitely created his own sound in an era where biters are the norm.

And for a little bonus here's Keri Hilson's "Energy" instrumental

Big thanks to Fredrick!

Video: Matt Pokora "Catch Me If You Can"

Here is Matt Pokora's video for his 3rd single "Catch Me If You Can"

I love the Missy sample. Timbo and Hannon strikes again! Here's a question though: has anyone, international or otherwise, seen Matt's album MP3 on the shelves on any record store? I still can't find it.

Rihanna's 7th single will be "Rehab" in the UK

One album, 7 singles or 8 if you count "Disturbia." Sure there were 3 new tracks with the re-realease of Good Girl Gone Bad but still 7 singles? In these digital days the music industry either releases 3 singles before an album even comes out, if it does at all, or they milk the hell out of a successful album for all it's worth. If it ain't broke don't fix it I guess and so is the case of Rihanna's album. It's still in the top 10 on the Billboard charts after 57 weeks and close to selling 1.5 million units (goes to show you how big of a feat Wayne's platinum-in-a-week album really is)

It's being reported that on August 11 the UK will be getting the Justin Timberlake written, Timbo AND Hannon produced "Rahab" by Rihanna. Will they be getting the same version as on the album? Maybe or more than likely this slightly shorter promo single edit:

Bubba Sparxxx "Lovely" video version

After the Supafriends era, I didn't think Timbo was going to find that same chemistry with any other artist. How could there be another Aaliyah or Missy or Ginuwine? Then along came a track called "Ugly" featuring some dude with the name Bubba, wtf? But after one listen I knew that something was brewing. Yet it wasn't until "Lovely" dropped that I knew Timbo was back with a whole new sound and Bubba Sparxxx was paving the way.

Now we've all seen the video for "Lovely" right? Pretty much "Ugly" part II with Bubba reppin' the new south to the fullest.

Well did you know there's 2 versions of the video? Check it:

Can you find the difference? I never noticed before.

Good look to dioN on the find!

A Bunch of Izza Kizza News

Just announced today, Izza Kizza's new track "Millionaire" will be featured on the soundtrack to EA's "Madden 2009." You can also check two new Kizza tracks, "Typical Maury" (produced by 88 Keys from his new mixtape Adam's Case Files) and "Georgie Porgie," produced by a name that's new to me, Fitz the Art Teacher. Apparently, Fitz is working on "Detox" though, so he's gotta be decent.

Rarely does a hip-hop artist rise in popularity and omnipresence this fast. Izza Kizza did his first performance only months ago, and already he's got almost 40,000 results on Google! So my question to you is this: how did he do it? Is Izza Kizza creating his own hype, or has the game changed to accommodate to innovative artists such as himself? Let us know in the comments section!

Timbaland postpones Australia & New Zeland tour

Timbo has rescheduled his Shock Value concert in Australia and New Zealand from July to August. No real reason was given though it's been reported that Tim's still celebrating his new marriage to Monique. Here are the new dates for the tour:

August 15 Sydney Entertainment Centre
August 16 Brisbane River Stage
August17 Adelaide Entertainment Centre
August20 Perth Challenge Stadium
August22 Melbourne Rod Laver
August23 Auckland Vector Arena, NZ

Lookout for Keri Hilson and Flo Rida to be joining Tim on certain dates as well. Shock Value has gone triple platinum in Australia so you know the fans are ready for ya' Timmy!

Video: Nas ft. Keri Hilson - "Hero"

As the release of In a Perfect World... draws near, the publicity surrounding Keri continues to grow, and here she is with Nas in his music video for "Hero" off his upcoming album. She definitely plays a limited role, but the video only adds on to her buzz.

Keri Hilson 'Return The Favor" snippet

We told you exclusively about what was supposed to be Keri's first single and now we have a snippet of the track produced by Timbaland:

"Return The Favor" (Kiss Me)

What do you think, better choice than "Energy"?

Small changes

What's up ya'll,

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on some small changes coming to The Chronicles. We want to make the site as informative as possible, yet keeping it an exciting place to come back to. With that said be on the look out for:

-No more anonymous comments. This has already go into effect. It takes 2 seconds to create a username and just like that you're ready to comment. I encourage everyone to post from the supporters to the haters and all those in between. The internet is the perfect medium to express your thoughts and opinions so definitely take advantage of it.

-A new column of "labels"(links) to every single post we've ever created since the first day of The Chronicles. Think you missed a post? Still looking for that Brandy "Adios" snippet? Soon you'll be able to find all the info you need with a simple click.

-A chat area. We're going to try it out and see how it works out. You'd be surprised who visits the site so maybe we can get some artist & fans interaction.

-Additional links. Links to send info in The Chronicles. Links to associate blogs. Links to accurate and current info about various artists.

We need a graphics facelift as well but for now we've got what we've got. This site is all about the content and we have no plans to ever change that. I appreciate any suggestions or comments you all have so hit me up anytime at: jboogie@thethomascrownchronicles.com

And let me quickly address a few things as well. This site, as it has been since day 1, is about Timbaland and his affiliates past, present, and future. We've been writing about Danja and Royal Court and The Clutch etc since day #1 and we have no plans to stop. If this site was only on Timbaland, we would have ran out of info to talk about a long time ago as well as been bored to tears. The Chronicles prides itself on giving you every angle of what goes into a song from the writer, to the engineer, to the sample, to the janitor of the studio. In a new music era of the 20 second attention span, The Chronicles looks to give all it's readers a place to learn, listen, and enjoy.

My thanks to all of you for your continued support!
-Boogie

Exclusive first look: Kizzaland cover

Mark your calendars for July 29th!

On the set Keri Hilson's "Energy"

Keri takes you on the set of her new video for "Energy"

Thoughts? I'm still not a big fan of the track. I felt like Keri could have picked a stronger single but let's hope with this video the song gains some air play.

Nicole Scherzinger CD giveaway

Now this is some news that definitely makes you go "HUH?" The Cherry Martini Lounge in good ol' Detroit, Michigan recently had a CD release party for Nicole Scherzinger's "new album." Last Friday, the Lounge was giving away 150 of Nicole's CD. So, if this is true, the logical question is who has one? But more so why is a random club in Detroit giving away Nicole's unreleased CD? Interesting....

The full of "Physical" still hasn't surfaced rather the same looped snippet version.

Donnie Klang gets Danja & The Clutch

First we had Danity Kane's album, then Day 26's, and now we get Donnie Klang's new album strategically slated for release August 19th, right after the new season of Making the Band 53 I mean 4. Along with his tracks "Dr Love" produced by Channel 7 (the artist formally known as 7 Aurelius) and "Take You There" F/ Diddy produced by Soul Diggaz, Klang also revealed his album will have production by Mario Winans, Bryan Michael Cox, and Danja and writing by the one and only Clutch. Donnie himself is also looking to add some of his own production and writing to the album titled Just The Rolling Stone.

Looks like Danja got his Handz on the boards for all the Bad Boy crews. Props to Big A and Luke for the find.
