Danjstrumental of the Week

Is this a preview of the next single? Could be so for now check out:

Day26 "In My Bed" Danjstumental

Of all Danja tracks this one is the perfect example of his diversity in my opinion. Very un-Danja in many aspects and he continues to explore new sounds that, more often than not, really bring that unique Danja quality to a track. He's definitely created his own sound in an era where biters are the norm.

And for a little bonus here's Keri Hilson's "Energy" instrumental

Big thanks to Fredrick!

  1. What the hell is his secret? Hah I didn't really notice those late strings before... and the strings backing the organ.

The track's strongest elements are easily the ridiculous live drums, and the weird organ synth with the studio reverb. But now I can hear every minor detail, like the weird pads that are added on to build the beat up.

  2. The first 3 notes of the bassline on the 2nd and 3rd verse are what does it for me...

  3. props for the shout out. glad to help!

the sheer fact that Danja was able to come from left field with this one makes it my favorite track produced by him since 2007's "Tell 'Em I Said That". ever since "In My Bed", I've noticed the organ on T.I's newest single "No Matter What" and that K-Young song "So Incredible" (but I spin the lq snippet of the demo track "Abducted" instead. it fits the beat better)

& I def. didn't notice the late strings either. I thought the quality on my vocal version was bad, but i played it back and they're still not noticeable.

  4. I've been really trying to figure out if Danja really did K Young's "So Incredible" So far no 100% confirmation but it sure does sound like him.

  5. The way the beat's layered, I'd bet money that song is Danja. the main synth comes in at the beginning and is dropped when the first verse starts, a la test drive's "Body Shots". drums sound similar to britney's "Break the Ice". organ sounds similar to "In My Bed", like I said earlier.

It's just odd, because I've never heard of K-Young before!

  6. Alot of folk aren't feeling this song, but I f**king love it! Easily my fave track off of Day26's album. The beat is fire, as are the lyrics and the vocals. I love the way the bassline comes in.

  7. lol why dont we just call it danjahandz instrumental and stop with this corny ass "danjstrumental" stuff. i love it though, In My Bed, is one of my favorite beats by him, but i always thought Day 26 ruined it, so im glad this was posted.

  9. I love this beat but Day26 vocal is weak man kinda ammature. I think if the clutch had written to this beat they wudda made the song hott!!! But Wow Danja is really talented.

  10. The bass is crazy...... the instrumental made me love this song more. I always loved the main synths though, but it was the drums that took some getting used to, because of how little this song matched the rest of Day 26's stuff. I can play this song and T.I. - "No Matter What", back to back. They use similar instruments.

  11. i like the beat i dont think its one of his best though i think that Day26 killed it they just killed it it couldve been so much better and because of them i dont like it as one of my fav songs of the album to me its just normal and mediocre

  12. considering that this "danjahandz instrumental" came from thin air (the only other place I could find it was at an imeem page, posted 3 wks ago)... i wonder what others are out there. idk if I have an up to date collection anymore.

then again, no one else seems to have the nite-runner instrumental. next thursday, boogie!

ps. i never really noticed that people hated the lyrics for "In My Bed". but now that i have the instrumental, i'm barely gonna play the vocal version.

  14. This instrumental is average to me.

Co Star was one of... if not the best track on the album to me.

  18. It's the groove on the live sounding drums...the hi hats etc! If that wasnt there, the track wouldnt be as hot! The organs combined make it fire! The pads in the background sound like organs synths. The bassline is on point, doesnt go on all through out...so you miss 4 a while...then bang..its back!! I like the way he thinks musically!
