Great.
ReplyDeleteLook at Danja cheesin on the low. lol
Why you say that?
ReplyDeleteNOBODY SEEMS TO LIKE HER ENGINEERING GRIND. People think she makes a hot Danja song sound like shit with the way she mixes it.
ReplyDeleteWhich may or may not be true... don't look at ME.
I wish I could mix his tracks.
ReplyDeleteShe leaves way too much mud. I was just seeing what he says she is garbage for. LOL
i actually like her...... the way i are was nice, we taking over was nice, all the britney shit was great as well. I doubt she did the duran duran so i won't give her that credit, but her stuff is not as bad as you people make it out to be.
ReplyDeleteCheck your liner notes, Marcella has been around for a long time.
ReplyDeleteBefore Danja was a household name.
C'mon now! I honestly don't think Marcella is as bad as you're making out. I've never heard any of her mixes and thought "That sounds like crap!" The only 2 tracks I felt could've been mixed better were "Bad girl" and "Best best". They sounded super muddy. Everything else, I've not had a problem with.
ReplyDeleteI dig her engineering grind. She's a lady doing her thing and she seems to work really well with Danja, even contributing to songwriting in some cases. I've always wondered if the 2 of them have 'a thang' going on. *lol*
I like Macella. Any woman who works "behind the scenes" in the music industry deverse some respect.
ReplyDeleteDamnit...."MARCELLA", lol.
ReplyDeletei cant wait.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are acting like that was MY opinion I just laid out. Talk about shooting the messenger.
ReplyDeletewell it seemed like reprimanding to me... after all I'm the only one who posted anything maligning Marcella that anyone could respond to!
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!!
ReplyDeleteLMAO also, did she mix "laff at em"
ReplyDeletecuz if it's her then i stand strong on me thing, if not then my bad :D
Marcella is good, but sometimes her mixed could be better tho. I have to be honest. On a side note: she just finished mixing some tracks on Wallen's (french arist) next album in Paris not that long ago. Check the single "Business", she mixed that one. http://www.blinkx.com/video/wallen-business/E0-9xnMHQGixNpCecm0wJw
ReplyDeleteWhat a re they lookin at eh? :)
ReplyDeleteif marcella is the "incredible lago" then yall are all mistaken according to my headphones. i like that warmth she brings to the tracks.
ReplyDeleteThis track sounds great after "Bore Me" and "Pocketbook" we know Beanz and Candice make magic together. However...wish it was a Clutch track, hope they appear on the album at least once. "Radar" anyone?
ReplyDeleteexcuse me but.....
ReplyDeletewat does a mixer do???
wat does it mean to "mix" a song???
@aayize
ReplyDeletea song usually consists of a bunch of different tracks. so an engineer is leveling all different sounds, effects, drums, hi-hats, vocals, ad-libs etc. just making the song sound clear and not distorted, so u can hear at the end all details clearly
A mixer engineer is someone who takes all the instruments in a track (these instruments and/or vocals are usually on separate tracks) and "mixes" them in together to make them all fit and communicate with each other well. This can be achieved by leveling, processing, automation, etc... So when you hear a greatly mixed track, you can hear every instrument at most to all levels, and everything will sit in the soundscape.
ReplyDeleteMs. Lago is good, but sometimes she leaves unnecessary mud, and sometimes her panning methods should be rethought.
@ venture bro
ReplyDeleteNice insight I never new that was what the sound engineers do, what happened to Jimmy Douglas I know he used to work with timbaland?
Why can't Danja mix and engineer his own tracks? I know that Ryan Leslie for example does it all by himself and he is self taught. Is a good mixer/engineer necessary?
No problem.
ReplyDeleteSome producers like myself, want to producer and engineer music. Some don't. Some people just like wearing one hat. I assume Danja is one of those producers.
A good mixer/engineer is very necessary. Without a good one, you probably won't be able to stand listening to cluttered song, or beat for that matter. They blend in all the sounds.
wait you all know about this track?? how..?
