  2. very catchy.

    i'm feelin the drum pattern.
I get the same vibe from the drums as i did w/ the 'joe boxer' ad' Timbo did back when.

    I Like!

  12. 4.5/5
With pharrell and timbo at her production side= one crazy and maybe legendary album.

  13. scratch maybe and leave legendary album plus crazy.

  14. the track is really good but I got a feeling is missing something,it's a bit dull sometimes and the chorus wants to be really strong but I just have a feeling it falls flat. The beat however does hit incredible hard, so that's what I think saves the track, but probably not the world...no 1 for sure, but this isn't Madonna's or Tim's best song in their carrers...

  18. You guys always forget to give Danja some props!!
It seems that we forget that he has alot of input in terms of the tracks that have Timbalands name next to them!!!!!

  19. http://uploaded.to/?id=orcbnn. Timbo and beanz again. hear some royal court sounds.

  20. I think the song is boring. It's just a flatline for four minutes. A middle 8 section, a beat switch and tighter vocal production would've made the song a bit better. But as it stands, I think the song is pretty crap. It bangs nice, but that's about it.

I think "Miles away" sounds much, much better. As do Pharrell's "The beat goes on", "Candy shop" and even "Hey you".

  21. Huge sound. It's like a wall of drums. Not a huge fan yet as far as the song, but cool beat. The end is an anticlimax for sure. I wish they'd gone back into the chorus and faded out or something. As it stands, it just kinda dies for being such a triumphant-sounding song.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Miles away way better...

    ReplyDelete
  23. it needs a few listens then it will definately grow on anyone...even if it's really repeating itself the beat is way too catchy

    ReplyDelete
  24. Does a tempo become slow?

    ReplyDelete
  25. NOW THIS IS A REAL BANGER!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Agree with Random J, the song is crappy.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think y'all hype it up too much. don't really feel it THAT much. its just average too me

    ReplyDelete
  28. hey...maybe they DID think about stuff..maybe they left out that big-ass beatswitch to keep it simple, maybe the vocal production IS tight and they thought about not overdoing it with they're voices to reinvent the sound of a so called anthem...maybe they're not dumb and know what they do?....maybe you guys are a little too critic with timbaland because you heard a little more from him these last years and became unthankful....?? just guessin...

  31. Power Rangers You only have 4 Minutes to save the world !

    Right Zordon!

    Lets Go Rangers

Lets Do it.. Blue Ranger power Now!!! Red Ranger Power etc

I couldn't Help it but this song still reminds me of that old power ranger intro.. but thats just my opinion

    ReplyDelete
  32. It just isn't the same song without the french dj screaming Booo!! Or it could be the slower tempo...

    ReplyDelete
  33. ok, i think it is hot. very hot. seems just a little too slow for me though. still great.

also, note that the horns in the very first second are ripped from a garageband loop. hehe.

random j, i have not heard the other songs you mentioned (except beat goes on, which i found lame). can you share them?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Boring and really weak horns. Big disappointment!

    ReplyDelete
  35. WHAT AN............................

    ANTICLIMAX

this song could have been great but just became boring now, no grand beat switch for madonna tim? are you nuts?!

    ReplyDelete
  36. J, i know i said I wasnt feeling it, but I think i change my mind. The beat def bangs a lot harder than I thought. Lovin the drums and the intro is just sick. I would go as far as saying it lives up to the hype.

    ReplyDelete
  37. thank u soooo much for putting the sped up version!!! if u listen to them 1 after the other u can deff hear a huge difference. the sped up version is killer! im allready playing it out!

    ReplyDelete
  38. WICK!!!! i found that same article on wikipedia!!! Before that was there they had posted an earlier version about other parts and other songs and they said that the labels that would be released for the album were Cash Money (lil Wayne) and Young Money and i was so mad about that but yea i dont believe it to be tru either

    ReplyDelete
  39. The horns sound cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  40. This song is cool, but not as dope as I expect from all that hype around it.

They should've sped it up cause I could see myself mixin "4 Minutes" with "Elevator" in a DJ set.

And hell naw... "The beat goes on" is not better than "4 Minutes." You're fuckin trippin son lol.

  41. faster version
    Great!

  42. Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Câmera Digital, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://camera-fotografica-digital.blogspot.com. A hug.

  43. Flo Rida ft. Brisco - Elevator pt. 2

Not produced by Timbaland though but I think you all might find it interesting, it's sort of like a remix. Same lyrics just rapped different and a different beat.

    Almost forgot the link

    ReplyDelete
  45. dont forget, tim dumbed down the track so its pleasng to the dumb people that dont like complicated beats.

you all bash tim as if he is not capable of producing complex beats when he can with his eyes closed but you gotta realize that his music needs to appeal to a wide audience beat from Unreal and al sween would need to be dumbed down too if they where using those has mainstream

    ReplyDelete
  46. I agree to a certain level. Although I think the mainstream is now ready to hear some more complex beats and appreciate it. I think they also did appreciate for example the part after the beatswitch on What goes around.. Comes around.
I was pretty mad that the best part was cut out of LoveStoned though, just to make it more appealing for a bigger audience

  47. Also check out this clip from the intro of the OneRepublic concert in Amsterdam I was at last Saturday.

When I stood there and listened to the drums I was pretty sure it was a Timbaland beat. It also had Timb's signature strings.

I know it's not much but you be the judge:

  48. Also you can take a better listen here:

    Apparently this was in London.

I feel like I'm spamming a bit so sorry for that. Just feel like sharing this with you all.

    ReplyDelete
  49. what happened to the beat in the 17 second clip??? it must have been a remix and imo it sounded a lot better than this version...

    ReplyDelete
  50. A middle 8 and a really hot beat switch would've made the song better. But as it stands you feel like you're waiting for this huge climax and all we get is the drums with no brass and then the song ends. I think Gwen Stefani or Nelly Furtado would've done wonders with this song. Madonna is too robotic and lifeless and Justin don't sound much better. Between Timbaland, Danja, Justin Timberlake and Madonna, frankly I expected more. As I said before, I'm already in favour of "Miles away" as opposed to "4 minutes".

The only cool aspect of the song is that it's more or less 4 minutes long.

    ReplyDelete
  51. madonna like s to keep the songs close to demos ... she gets upset when they start to over mix and produce ... the Raw'r the betta is her motto

    ReplyDelete
  52. OMG!!
4 Minutes debuted #1 on Australia's largests countdown.

It's getting a Lot of support for a song that's was JUST hit our shores.

    The song is RADIO-BUBLEGUM!!

    I have'nt noticed Madonna since...
    she came out with 'Music'
