Bobby Valentino and The Royal Court

Come on now, you guys can't post that The Royal Court had something to do with the 2 Bobby Valentino tracks and not expect me to investigate. The stan in me burns too strong. So yes everyone is correct. Bobby Valentino's "Anonymous" and "Rearview (Ridin') are indeed produced by The Royal Court. I checked with my man King and he did confirm that The Royal Court co-produced the tracks.

So just like Omarion's "Icebox" and "Beg For It" The Royal Court deliver once again. You can see King throughout the making of the Shock Value video as well. I'm looking forward to what more they have in store for us. Great job everyone and thanks for the info.

  1. make up your mind, produced or co-produced?

  2. The important word here is co-produced, just like Timmy does with danja.

  3. you already know he didnt produce those tracks...they sound nothing like timbaland too me...sounds like some d-list ish and he threw his lil rap on it too put the timbaland stamp of approval...i guess he is the next dre..."ghost production'

  4. Just because it doesnt sound like Timbaland doesnt mean he didnt co produce it or wasnt trying something different. The Way I Are doesnt sound like timbo 2 years ago but now that sound is accepted as his (and Danja's too). And you dont know how much or how little hand he had in it because you werent there when they made the track.

Additionally Anonymous sounds like timbo, it even has his beatboxing.

  6. i doubt it, these dudes sound like relatively new associates.

fail to see how there's any "ghost production" goin' on when these guys are either getting full or shared production credits. i thought i read somewhere that Tim himself said he wasn't a great keyboardist/maybe instrumentalist and often writes down and comes up w/ parts that he has other people play.

'course people also try to talk 'bout how Danja's "ghost"-producin' stuff when all his beats i've heard w/o Timbo sound inferior.

  7. yeah but thats how the game is if you wanna get on in the industry....id just struggle rather then let some one else put there name on my track...and kick me a lil 5 grand while they get the shine and hype....so dont be shocked that tim does it cause its been done for years even too him

  8. yeah danja's beats by himself sound like hot garbage too me...its like damn is this the same guy makin all these hits with timbaland

  9. sounds like another "promise" knockoff.

  10. Royal Court, The Clutch, Danja, couldn't even get in the studio with Ciara, Omarion, not to mention Justin, Nelly, Madonna, Duran Duran (for Danja) if it wasn't for Tim. When is everybody going to except that they are paying their dues now for career success down the road. Timbo had to due the same thing.

  11. Nathan is right. Think about it you're new to the game and already 2 out of your 4 (credited) productions are picked as singles, that's HUGE!

Plus you got to remember the same thing happened to Tim when he first started. All those old school Jodeci tracks that say "produced by Devante" are definitely Timbo.

Everyone has to pay their dues.

  12. yeah you guyz are right...but its a shame when tim gets the camera time and the phat check while those guyz are really making the hits and puttin there minds and heart into making it....i think lost a lil respect for tim still feel his ish...but its the music industry so expect up and coming cats too get jacked but its there fault for them gettin pimped...hopefully there getting royalities

  13. dont think im bashing tim...cause he still ill on the boards and my fav producer but i didnt think he was like dre...and gettin all the credit

  14. again, while dudes may not be that visible they're gettin' liner credits.

Dre's collaborators get (co)-production and co-writing credits too, and though Storch ain't a bad producer at all i can easily distinguish his solo beats from his stuff with Dre, there's no ghost-production. Dre's made it clear before that he's not an instrumentalist, doesn't mean he's not puttin' stuff together.

  15. on a sidenote, while i know Danja's done some R&B, i wonder if Timbo's settin' up The Court to be his R&B proteges and Danja as his hip hop/pop one, heh.

  16. yeah i feel that all i was saying is the regular consumer doesnt read liner notes...so seein tim in the video...and hearing him beat box on the track...and his usual ad libs over the song...you figure he produced the track...and then thats how it gets spread new timbaland production...i.e get to popping...ice box..rearview..beg for it..diddy rock and so on and on...and im sure at a certain point those guyz are gonna want there proper due for there work

  17. i'm sure dudes'll get their break if they've got the skills, look at Storch/Dre. Danja's already startin' to produce a bunch on his own (w/o Timbo guest features) anyhow.
