MMMMMmmmm I like this I dnt get why the timbo camp have got better tracks coming out for britney over keri.
ReplyDeletei love that synth on the chorus. overall a solid track, but danja did alot more impressive tracks on the last album.
ReplyDeleteThe track Mannequin if Im not mistaken is a Danja produced track and that track is sick, especially with Danja's adlibs (more like off-key yell). Blur is hot, but Mannequin is hotter, but then again its like comparing aples and oranges because Blue is more along the slow of a slow jam while Mannequin is more bubbly & bouncy.
ReplyDeleteGood track, the chorus is great.
ReplyDeleteThis song makes me remember Jennifer Lopez's "He'll Be Back" produced by Timbaland. Right?
My type of music...you dont get bored of this easily...because the vibe is unusual!
ReplyDelete@Jean Elliott...Im sure He'll be back was more Danja's work...judging by the synth's used! Tim probably done finishing touches if he was involved...

ReplyDeleteMannequin (Produced by the "Timbo-biter" Rob Knox and Harvey Mason Jr. of the Underdogs, Written by James Fauntleroy)
ReplyDeleteI like the synths n the dark melody in this song it is so sweeeet, but nothing on this Britney album, Danja did, can compare to the work he put in on her previous album! DAAANJAAA!!
I am not gonna air out people, cause it doesn't really matter. But one of Danja's VERY close dudes told me Danja did that J. Lo track and also e.g. "I'm So Fly" of Lloyd Banks ALONE...
ReplyDeleteThis track right here is boring overall...sure there's few nice details, but overall its just hmmm
Track is FIRE!!
ReplyDeleteThe whole Album already leaked.
And so far my favorite Track on the Album is "Mannequin". The Beat is crazy as hell and vocals are great, too.
The Underdogs and Flossy really did something great with "Mannequin"!!
FINALLY DANJA COMES OUT WITH SOME HEAT!! All his other stuff has been HORRIBLE!!!!!! in my opinion. This production is very different with the sounds/instruments used . He still has a long way to go, but this track shows that it is possible for danja to SOMETIMES go it alone without TIM, yet it is better when they're together for him I say. duge_buwembo I don't understand either which is very foul of them and horribly ironic and actually what sadly happens to artists on producer labels: they do better with those who aren't bringing that extra butter to their meal pockets.
ReplyDeleteHOT tracks! Just heard the album. Pretty cool album! Not as good as last one still. Obviously Danja tracks stood out but one track I'm feeling more and more is The Clutch produced - Phonography.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the instrumentals. I'm not a fan of Britney's singing but she's done aite.
Hmm J you don't mean me do you? Cos it was Tom who posted the album up? Just wondering!
ReplyDeleteThere are 3 Lukes out there across the world that are all very generous. You are 1 of 3
ReplyDeleteDanja is dope his expertise is pop/r&b he needs to work on his hip hop tracks which IMO is why I think he co-produced I'm so fly. Tim was moving away from hip hop that year and started moving to pop at the same time danja was getting more and more involved.
ReplyDeletethis song is boring...
ReplyDeleteits ok but its kind of the filler song. the rest of the album is alot hotter than this...
I think Danja is better with Hip Hop. ("We Takin' Over" = HOT)
ReplyDeleteHe needs to work on pop, but no one makes real pop except Max Martin. Every one tries though, but it sounds too urban.
If you notice, Danja tracks don't make you smile, probably only "Promiscuous" but that's about it.
-MK
anyone have phonography?
ReplyDeleteJust downloaded the leak a few minutes ago. Overall, great album. However, I think Danja did set the bar high on Blackout album, so high that it's sort of bitten him in the ass a bit with this release.
ReplyDeleteStill, the fact that I can once again mention "Britney Spears" and "Great Album" in the same sentence, to me, shows that Danja's done a damn good job.
It's one of my favorites, really. I like her lower vocals, and all of the little details throughout.Great.
ReplyDeleteI love this.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of this song from GITS: SAC OST

Although... I love that song sooooo much... "Blur" comes nooooo where near.
woah woah woah...first off the album as a whole was...TERRIBLE!! it was all gay crap and it was nothing like Blackout...Blackout was perfect compared to this ish and there are only two tracks I like on the whole dame album: Blur (personally a 4/5) and Mannequin (3/5)
ReplyDeleteI liked this track. I felt this track showed a different side of Danja's production. It showed that he doesn't always have to make up-tempo. He can flip the script and making something laid back.
ReplyDeleteI like this track.. but does anyone recognize the guitar melody? lolol give ya a hint.. the songs definitely in rockband... and i like the selection of songs he flips... plus anyone paying attention to the lyrics? It's original in concept... for a hangover or w/e. But Danja keeps sticking to his format.. He is going to keep raising the bar for pop.I just don't think britney deserved the track
ReplyDeleteDanja did his thing on this track! I'm loving the mellow feel of it and Britney did her thing as well.
ReplyDeleteTHIS SONG IS DEPRESSING
ReplyDeleteand Danja makes the instrumental go along with that mood... idk if I could bump this song enthusiastically, given that
