Timbaland and Jay-Z too good to be true

You knew it right? Deep down as much as you wanted it to be true and as much as you hoped it to be true, in the end it was all just unconfirmed hype. Jay-Z recently spoke with Rolling Stone and had this to say about his entirely Timbaland produced next album:

You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it’s premature. I’m a person that works off music. If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction.

So the question or rather the challenge is: Can Timbaland produce 10 great tracks worthy of an entire Jay Z album? What do you think?

I knew it...the response alone should tell you it won't happen.

Maybe like 5 or 6 tracks a la Vol 3 at best.

  2. Yea I would take 5-6 tracks and wouldn't mind Kanye and Just Blaze do the rest Tim has the potential to do it but Jay is particular with his selections and a pretty good ear for beats Tim would have to be dead on.

  8. You really think after the last 2 years of where Tim's productions have been, that pop synthy style, a style he obviously has no intention of moving from anytime soon, that he can make a 10-track album for Jay-Z (not Mylie Cyrus) that's hot?

    I say no way.

  10. I know personally I didn't expect Tim to be on it still looks good to me should do better than TOS key word should. And back on topic People underestimate Jay Tim may try to play him the sound he has been using for couple of years Jay will turn him down until Tim plays him something he likes just like in Fade to Black Tim has the skill to go anyway Jay wants to go though i think Tim could get 4-5 good tracks on the album whenever Jay starts it.
