  2. DAAAAMMNNN PHARRELLLL!!!!!!! I mean I know this is a TIMBO site but....DAAAAMMNNN PHARRELL GOT SOME SERIOUS HEAT IN 2008!!! Don't Call it a Comeback by those Neptune boys (well Pharrell at least, but Chad has been ILL on his tracks too!) TIMBALAND Vs. NEPTUNES VA SHOWDOWN 2008!!!!

  3. I think Pharrell won this one, as much as I hate to say it as a diehard Tim fan.

It sounds fantastic all around, though.

  4. ok just heard the snippets

Miles Away is still the best!

As for the others they might grow on me once the HQ comes out in Full!

For now I cant give u an opinion.

  5. Yeah, I actually prefer the pharrell produced songs over the timbo joints. although "miles away" and "devil wouldnt recognize you" sound good.

  6. "Heartbeat" has a nice beat. Pharrell definately won this one.
But I think Timbo might have the better songs with Justin helping him write the tracks.

  7. Pharrell came way more correct than Tim and co. I actually thought "Heart beat" was Timand Danja until I saw the production credits. That is easily the hottest song on the album. The beat is absolute fire. It's the only song that sounds like it channels the old Madonna Tim kept braggin' he brought back. Pharrell's song are all hot.

  8. One Legend down for the Neptunes. Michael Jackson NEEEDDSSS the Neptunes for his next album.

  9. Timbo won this one just by composing 4 minutes.

  10. Yeah, i think Phareell won this one, Heartbeat sounds Grreat.

  11. 4 minutes kinda sux and it dosent sound anything like the rest of the album. all the other songs hav da same vibe but 4 minutes dosent...

  12. tibaland deff has some hits here. dance 2night, miles away aree all hot!! voices kinda sux tho....

  13. @ "Timbo won this one just by composing 4 minutes."

Each to their own. I think that song is throwaway. It was too much for both Madonna and Justin. The horns just drowned them out and the lack of a middle 8 or a breakdown just made what I think could've been a really hot song pretty bland. Plus, I think the 30 second snippet of "Miles away" sounds much better than the 4 minutes of "4 minutes".

Based on the snippets, Pharrell definitely sounds like he came harder than Tim and his crew. Between Timbaland, Danja, Hannon Lane and Justin Timberlake - they could've come better. "Heart beat" sounds like it's going to be fire and so does "Give it to me". They are 2 of the 4 songs on the album where I think the production style sounds like it will actually suit Madonna.

I'm dissapointed in Tim and co for "Devil wouldn't recognize you". That shit is just a re-working of "What goes around comes around", which spawned "Rehab" - which were both derived from "Deliverance".

  14. I don't like any of this. Madonna doesn't belong on these type of beats. Timbaland doesn't belong in this genre of music. If they would have made it work, I would say they were genre-bending, etc.

BUT this shit didn't work and it's disappointing. It'll still sell but so does Hannah Montana.

  15. Sounds like negative fans here. The host song is actually devil wouldnt recognize followed by miles away to tell you the difference between timbo and pharell.http://www.nemesismp3.net/-Madonna-Hard-Candy-905.html. Full album. You might all change ur minds. LOL!

  16. y'all're kidding about those Pharrell beats, right? i love classic Neptunes and even think his solo album was dope, but the only hot song he has on here is "Candy Shop," and i guess the hook on "Beat Goes On" is half-decent. his keyboards aren't full enough here, same problem Danja's been having with a bunch of his solo tracks without Tim. tinny feather-light stuff.

hopefully Hugo'll give the new N.E.R.D. a kick in the ass

  17. don't download that madonna "album" in the link two posts above.

it's fake. i downloaded it earlier today. all they did was take other madonna tracks and change the track names.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I love all tracks except Give It 2 Me. Tim has done a great job, but Pharrell was way more inovative and experimental and that's exactly what M wants in her record.

Great album! Only one so-so song.

  19. too soon to judge but happy for new Tim related material.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The only immediate disappointment for me is the "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" a.k.a "Rehab" a.k.a "What Goes Around..." And I hope the kick in "Voices" isn't distorted trash on the album version.

Overall, the Pharrell tracks are on a different level than the Tim & Co. tracks to me. Funny considering how much I was looking forward to the Tim tracks.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nah.. only made me look forward to it more.. it's def. gonna be a hot album. plenty of hot tunage and awesome beats. Give It 2 Me is a credit to Pharrell.. But yeah, i'll let you know wat i think when i hear the whole album is in full..

    ReplyDelete
  22. i guess the dance tonight is the 80's holliday inspired track...I don't know what to say...the album it's just too pop

    ReplyDelete
  23. TIMBO and MADONNA all the way!!... plus the neptunes haven't been good for years.

    ReplyDelete
  24. is there any confirmation that the yung berg song is a Danja production? Its not bad. Too bad i dont like Berg that much.

    ReplyDelete
  25. WTF!!... it doesn't even work... whah!!

  26. There is nothing wrong with ppl posting their opinions on who won the battle. Pharrell did come strong it has to be said, so alot of people are going to be divided in opinion. Tons of people were lookin for this to be Timbaland's show, but Pharrell has made it interesting. At the end of the day theyre all friends so we should be glad that they both inspired each other.

  27. PHARRELL IS INCREDIBLE ON THIS ALBUM !!!! WELCOME BACK SKATEBOARD P !!!! YEZIRRR

  29. Timbaland could have done the whole album... now that would have been better... plus some pharrell songs on the cd were dissed compared to the tim ones in the rolling stone review... ha!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Can't wait 2 hear the full track of "Miles Away"!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Both producer's came with HEAT for this album. If Timbo had 7 tracks on the album like Pharrell has, I think the outcome would be alittle different.

4-Minutes kills half the albums production alone. lol, but shout out to both Timbo and Pharrell for giving Madonna that VA Bang!! Hopefully I get a track on her next album...lol

    ReplyDelete
  32. Incredible album! Speechless!
Tim and Pharrell and of course Madonna have done a very good job.

    ReplyDelete
  33. How are gonna judge who's tracks are better off 30 second clips?...Lol give me a break. Wait till the full album leaks and then give an honest opinion. A bridge or a breakdown can change the whole outcome of a song. Just relax people. I understand theres a little friendly competition goin on here, but VA went to work on this album. Wait until you hear it in it's entirety before you dish out these claims.

  35. wow thats hard, on danity kanes myspace. diddy put cassies official girl. he does not really car about danity kane that much does he?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Some of the credits are wrong. A few of the songs credited to Pharrell are actually Timbo

    ReplyDelete
  37. Can't believe someone said it's too pop. It's MADONNA! What the hell...

    ReplyDelete
  38. VA did their thing and basically did her whole album can't go wrong there.

    ReplyDelete
  39. these tracks are really nice but, nobody can beat 4 minutes!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Check out the incredible snippet and this drum loop http://www.zshare.net/audio/10646139e0f88cb7/.It's of a sample cd i got... rolling stone is right:"The songs are solid, but slightly anonymous, as though they could be stripped down and peddled to other singers." I feel that in spite of their names pharell and tim didn't give even a half of the genious they got to madonna.feels like they've made this in a haste, and even if I only have the sampler to judge I don't expect the full hq to change my mind, even though I sure wish it would!

    ReplyDelete
  41. thanks for "karma" but not sure it's timbo ???

    ReplyDelete
  42. UGH!!! idk who you are Mr. ALEX!?!?!?!?!?! but yea i dot see how the fuck you can hate the rehab song by rihanna! which by the way she needs to release its been a while and its supposed to be after breakin dishes but still u dont know what the hell ur talkin about

now as to the songs being better than the other heres what i say:
I think that the timbo beat 4 Minutes and Miles away overide Heart beat and as to the other 6 songs pharrell did they were just like what he always does even though its pretty ok

on to another subject that has nothing to do with this...have yall heard side effects by Mariah Carey ft. Young Jeezy?? well it was produced by Scott Storch and ive always hated him for the problems between him and timbo but i swear i have never heard a song produced by him this good i think its a very good song so neways yall need to hear it its very good ummm but yea over all the album is so-so i would say maybe 4 good songs on it maybe 2 other number one hits if she plays her cards right but of course madonna cant sing much and sounds like she drags her voice too much cant wait for JoJo, now i know timbo can work some magic with her!

  46. I'm sorry, but the Neptunes definitely took the trophy for this one, if you ask me. It might've boiled down to the fact that they produced more songs on the album than Timbaland, but they still won this one. And this is coming from a person who doesn't think as highly of them as Timbaland.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I know this is a timbaland site and that I am supposed to be biased towards Tim, but as a Neptunes fan I never understood why Timbaland seemed to be getting so much props for "bridging the gap between hip hop and pop" when the Neps have been doing that for YEARS. Since 2002 they have been doing what Timb has done, by working with No Doubt, remixing songs for the Rolling Stones, Garbage, woking with NSync, remixing songs for Backstreet Boys, it goes on and on. They have been doing this hip pop thing for years, yet Timbaland was always touted as revolutionary when he did it. Let us be realistic and accept the fact that the Neptunes and Timbaland are both great, rather than try to put one infront the other so much. Tim will lose some and win some battles vs the Neps.... what matters most is that they both step up their games when on the same project.

    ReplyDelete
  48. the neptunes win the 1st round , the "PREVIEWS" round , lets see if Timbo Camp catch up in the actual album !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Pharrell wins. Maybe Tim saved the killer track for himself on the "Shock Value 2" album.

But still, overall i think the album is average. 3 out 5 stars.

Tim you need to let go of Justins Cock. Your better by yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I didn't say I hate "Rehab." I just don't like how Tim/Justin are doing sound-alike tracks.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Sounds good. "Miles Away", "4 Minutes" and "Beat Goes On" sound like favorites.

Its gonna be Timbo's fault when the whole world likes house music...

    ReplyDelete
  52. was there a battle?
    pharrell wins, timbo wins ...WTF
the snippets sounds good so far.
    nothing more. no one wins.

    ReplyDelete
  53. im just wondering when the album will leak to the net...prolly by this weekend

    ReplyDelete
  54. Do some of the Neptunes tracks sound inspired by the new wave timbo sound, or is it just me?

    ReplyDelete
  55. The Neptunes have been multi-genre and hip hop/pop, yeah, but i think the difference is that people find Timbaland's assorted styles more interesting. i think the 'Tunes are more versatile than they're given credit for ('specially with the N.E.R.D. stuff) but they've definitely got a given "sound." Timbo's flipped his style more over the years.

i swear y'all're trippin' on these Pharrell beats though. i don't think he's fallen off as much as others've said but this sounds mad uninspired compared to his better stuff

    ReplyDelete
  56. The Timbo tracks on Hard Candy are so much better than the Neptunes tracks, the only halfgood Neptunes track is Give it 2 Me. Timbaland is a genius and Pharell had nothing to do on this album. I just came over the leaks of "Miles Away" and "Voices", all i have to say that the two tracks are fire. Pure masterpiece, love the drama sound over "Voices". This is Timbaland as his best ladys and gentleman.

    ReplyDelete
  57. 4 minutes is hot, but nothing compared to the other Timbaland tracks on Hard Candy.

    ReplyDelete
  58. tell u what this album is sick!

The more u listen to it even the sampler just gets better and better.

The best tracks for timbo mainly are:

    Miles Away
    Recognise You
    Voices

The rest of them are good but these ones stand out the most

    ReplyDelete
  59. "Miles away" and "Voices" are hot - even though they aren't miles away from what Madonna's done in the past. Tim didn't switch anything up on those tracks. He just did what Madonna's done for her past 2 albums, but with that Tim stamp. He should've done the same for his other tracks - because "Dance 2 nite" sounds like garbage, I can't stand "4 minutes" and "Devil wouldn't recognize you" (as we all know) is just a re-hash of what Tim has done before. "Miles away" and "Voices" will work because they don't compromise her style and have that Tim knock about them.

"4 minutes" and "Dance 2nite" don't suit her. They sound like off-cuts off of Loose or a Gwen Stefani CD - both of whom would've done the songs better.

Pharrell's beats aren't the most polished, but at least he pushed the envelope a little and had Madonna singing like she had fun and not like the lifeless robot she's become accustomed to sounding like over her past 4 albums.

"Heart beat" sounds like it's going to be fire! I cannot get that song out of my head. I just love the chorus. It's definitely a throwback to the joints Madonna did with Jellybean.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Fuck! What a beautiful album! You cannot get better producers than Timbaland and Pharrell. I'm definitely gonna buy the album for real. Wow...

By the way, I agree to most people that Pharrell did evolved into his music skills. Previously, his beats has been slacking, but this album will show off his powerhouse in the future. Pharrell is back with such vengeance :D.
