Chris Cornell "Part Of Me" 2nd snippet

Here is a different snippet of Chris Cornell's "Part Of Me" which we first heard in the "VCast commericial" a few weeks ago. I take it the song is supposed to be Timbaland's June song for the Verizon ringtone album:

I hope the full version of this track drops soon. It's been a little too quiet from the Timbaland camp as of late.

Ever wondered who directed the commercial? None other than Spike Lee.

  9. im not really feeling it...
its a good song but it dosent sound like the way tim was describing it in the interview.
and i think that tim wanted to make this the 4th album in the "rat pack" like FS/LS or Loose but this dosent sound any where near to "Promiscuos" or "SexyBack".
This sounds like a male Ashley Simpson to me...

lost is amazing! but i think the acoustic version with just piano is more beautifull and meaningfull. though theres no tim influence on that one.

  10. Yea I'd have to say that just based on the snippet & Tim's interview about I'm kind of not impressed.

Tim said Cornnel's ALBUM was the best work of his career so I'm expecting new sounds, new melodies and even if he uses some element's we've already heard I'm expecting it to blow me the F*** away.

So here's to hoping this snippet is either a small breakdown of the whole song, an early unpolished version or just something for Verizon to use.

  11. I can't wait to hear Cornell's new album! These little snippets here and there are MAKING ME WANT MORE!! The man's voice is amazing. And with his previous songwriting feats, this should be great!

  12. tim probably brought in the guitarist from ashlee simpson's album

either way, if this isn't as good as fs/ls or loose, i'll attribute it to a lack of danja... unless danja IS involved. cuz, he ALSO plays guitar.

  13. the snippet from the commercial sounds like a verse and this one sounds like the chorus. so i think thats how the song is gonna sound like. the song is straight. nothin mind blowin but not bad either

  17. I think Chris Cornell's new CD is gonna be HOT!!! Timbaland called it his best work ever, and knowing absolutely nothing about the guy (but being a huge Cornell fan), I did a lot of research, and found that I really liked what Timbaland has done with a lot of VERY different artists. Since this is a "ringtone snippet", people need to critique it as a ringtone snippet, which is next to impossible to do (although I have to admit, I think it - CHRIS - sounds great!!), and should hold judgement for when the LP actually drops early this fall. In the meantime, I'm REALLY excited to be seeing Chris Cornell with The Projekt Revolution tour this summer, where he'll be playing a few of his new songs!!! The guy is amazing - no matter who he works with or what genre he dabbles in...THAT VOICE!!!
