The making of Katharine McPhee

Here is a behind the scenes Electronic Press Kit for the making of American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee's self titled debut album. You'll see a brief in the background cameo by Danja as well as some shots of Marcella doing her thing on the engineering boards. Jim Beanz also gives us multiple glimpses of the vocal magic he is more than capable of. If you don't have DivX unfortunately you won't be able to view the video but you can always download the DivX player :)

  2. crazy how out of all the tracks played throughout the vid, the best ones were all produced by Danja himself. That first Danja track sounds dope as hell!

  3. It's a shame RCA doesn't know what to do with this girl. She had released, in my opinion, one of the better Idol albums this year. Even better than Kelly's "My December".

  4. This is such an awesome album, I've been bumping it for months on end now and still not tired. Whoever assembled the writers, vocal producers and producers on the album needs an award - her chemistry with Danja, Jim Beanz, Kara DioGuardi and Corte Ellis in particular is so impressive. And Balewa and Candice gave her a hot one as usual with "Open Toes". Apart from the Danja tracks (which essentially make up the whole album) "Do What U Do" (Underdogs & Rob Knox) and "Home" (John Shanks & Kara DioGuardi) are also recommended. Another impressive female representing that you don't have to be black to make some good R&B music! I love her!

  6. Agree with the last two comments. I really wish this album had gotten the promotion it deserved. I'm still listening to it on a regular basis, as well.
