Danja makes Bishop Lamont "So Sad"

I hope you all had a great holiday but it's time to get back to business and what better way than some new music. Bishop Lamont, signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath label, has been talking for quite sometime about his debut album yet it still hasn't materialized. Making sure to keep his name relevant while we wait, Lamont has just released his mixtape Pope Mobile and this VERY interesting track produced by Danja

Bishop Lamont f/ Chevy Jones "So Sad" produced by Danja Handz

Why so interesting you ask? The track sounds very Indian (though I could be wrong, perhaps Eastern European?) which Danja was yet to do but more so how often has Danja ever sampled? In my opinion this is a very different kind of track for him and I'm definitely feeling it. Actually I've heard rumors from different sources that Danja did Papoose's "That's A Good Look" with Tim so maybe this isn't the first time Danja has dipped into samples.

You all feeling this track? Big thanks to Trent for the track!

  3. Danja did Nelly's "Do It" with Tim... wasn't that "sampled"?

But, this track definitely doesn't sound like Danja. Dude has range.

  4. Danja has sampled, but barely... only back in the day in his work with Calistylz, TEAMHOOD, etc - especially lately theres been a lack of sampling where he has taken a style to recording himself playing drums and lacing tracks with tight synths.

Tbh I don't even think this is sampled... cept for the horns but thats more of a stock sample.

Shame the drums are so weak on this... but I think its tight!

  7. just more chorus and opera samples. danja needs to stop using this its in all of his songs. he probably uses these because he use to play in a church

  8. i agree i was xpecting a better track from danja, ive yet to hear a decent hip hop track from danja the only hot stuff comin from him is his pop music, to me he's more of a pop producer than hip hop

  11. One of the first Danja tracks that we ever heard Hey is full on Indian. It was so Indian that we all thought it was Timbaland for a second. That Wyld Money track still gets labeled as Tim. Also a few tracks on the Street Money Vol 1 Mixtape aswell.

  13. is seems to me that danja does have a weakness wen it comes to hip hop tracks because i've have not heard one that was good since the biggie track even that was sampled

  16. Besides Hurt and Tell Em I Said that, he needs to step up in his hip hop tracks.
