Czar's Sample of the Week

What's up y'all,

It's a new week, and that means a new Timbaland sample. This time I thought I would bring you all a sample from one of the best unreleased pop albums of the 2000s: Kiley Dean's "Simple Girl."

A while back I posted the sample to one of my favorite songs off that album, "Kiss Me Like That." This week, I thought I would share a sample from another one of my favorite songs from the album, "No." The song has a nice bounce, and Raje Shwari just kills it at the end. Anyway, the song samples "Sorrow Tears & Blood" from the musician and political activist Fela Kuti. If you don't know anything about Fela, you need to buy his music and google him now. He was an amazing artist with timeless music, and an influential human rights activist that is truly missed.

So that's it for this week's installment of Czar's Sample of the Week. Check back next week for something that will make you hee hee hee hee ha, hee hee hee hee hee hee ha.

Peace,
Czar
P.S. This won't be the last time you'll see Fela's name pop up on Czar's Sample of the Week...
