Here is the 3rd and final Danja/Simple Plan collabo:
"Generation"
Bigmac has also given us the story behind "Generation" Vs. T.I.'s "Hurt":
****Although not every song on Simple Plan represents a dramatic departure from their traditional pop-punk formula, "Generation" may be the one experiment that draws the most attention. It features the same sample featured on T.I.‘s 2007 single, "Hurt," although Simple Plan have transformed the trumpet and drum beat into a song suitable for a scoring celebration at a hockey game. Bouvier says using the same Hills-created beat as the Atlanta rapper was inadvertent.
"When we were in Miami the first time and Danja played us that beat, we wanted to use it, but he didn't know if T.I. was using it on his album. After the third time we went back, he hadn't heard back from T.I. so we started writing some stuff on it. But later he called and said he was using it. By then we liked what we had written, and T.I. didn't care."
"I love what he did with it," says Comeau of T.I.'s "Hurt." "Maybe one day we'll do a mash-up." ****

gosh, every beat i've heard this year seems to have fricki trumpets in it! 4 minutes, elevator, this song! timbo has a new toy.
ReplyDeleteor sorry, should i say DANJA has a new toy
ReplyDeletedown grade.
ReplyDeletewould've liked something original..
ReplyDeleteWow...All this name calling...why again??? Oh yeah...over a simple plan song...
ReplyDeleteCome on guys….
I wouldn’t be surprised if it is a mash up…
I think it's a no-brainer that "Hurt" came first... and, I'm probably not gonna scope this song because I don't like the notion that Danja recycles beats.
ReplyDeleteHannon Lane now > Danja
If this is actually Danja then he has reached a new low in my books. Its not like he recycled the beat...he actually used the same one...not cool.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Simple Plan ASKED for the beat to be used. I seriously doubt Danja was just like, "Hmmm...I think I'll just use a beat I've already had placed on an album."
ReplyDeletethis is better then the original
ReplyDeleteGreat track !
ReplyDeletethis track sure is sound-heavy... but it's not bad
ReplyDeleteI'm digging it
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody have "the end" in full & HQ ?!
ReplyDeleteThanks to producer Hill, they're also sharing samples with rapper T.I. The band were presented with the sample, used in their forthcoming track, Generation, before discovering the rapper had already used it on his 2007 song, Hurt. They weren't concerned. " We liked what we had written, and T.I. didn't care," Bouvier said.
ReplyDeleteSo basically it was a joint decision by both artist and producer to keep the sample. And T.I. is all fine with it.
Here's the full story on the track:

all it sounds like danja just used "hurt" as the foundation which he toned down and simple plan jus added live instruments to the track. but hey Tim recycled beats before note: Kiley Dean and certain Jay-z track from his Volume Three album (look it up)
ReplyDeletethere is a roumor going that timbaland produced moving moutens by usher!!! is that true?
ReplyDeleteno
ReplyDeleteSounds hot, even though its the same beat with guitars and stuff lol
