Timbaland has confirmed with MTV that Shock Value II is in the works.
"Shock Value is really like the Now [That's What I Call Music!] compilation. That's my goal for this — not [to showcase] me as an artist. Of course I'll do my little part, introduce some people. It gives me room to go tour across the world. People request me. I put on a show. I put on a musical show.
Right now, I have a song with Madonna that I didn't put on her album. I saved [it] in case I wanna do one for me. Of course I'mma do one with Beyoncé. Of course I'mma do one with Jordin Sparks, Rihanna. It's a lot of people. I'mma do one with Jonas Brothers. I'mma try to have 10 major ones."
As far as hip hop, Tim's looking at T.I., wants Jay-Z (Jay was really on the last one, but he wanted to change [the song]. I said, 'Look, man, I gotta put out an album. You're killing me.') and already has T-Pain (remember I said to check part II of a certain album)
We told you about the Jonas Brothers collabo and hopefully some additional work with Gwen Stefani (finally!) and Linkin Park. Will we finally get Mary J. Blige's "Skycap"? Let's hope so.
Timbo also talked about the success of the first Shock Value album:
It be hot for the world. I really do focus groups. I get reports, readouts. I'm not gonna talk about it. If you ask for documentation, I got it. I'm a businessman and at the same time a CEO. But I looked at the charts: I went platinum in 16 different countries. Africa? Double platinum. Ireland? Double platinum. New Zealand? Triple platinum. London? Platinum. London is the hardest place to go platinum. France? Platinum. They don't like nobody unless you French, but they like me.
Here comes another Timbaland album!

More confirmed tracks from Keri's In A Perfect World
Reading through Keri Hilson's official bio, more tracks have been confirmed for her debut album.
"I deliver my songs with emotion," she enthuses, "I don't like a lot of effects. It takes away from the emotion. Like the raspyness of my voice in 'Slow Dance' (written with Justin Timberlake) for example. I love the way I sound on that track—straightforward, throwback, and old school. I don't want that feeling taken away. I'm so particular about those emotions. I don't want anyone to walk away from my album just thinking, 'that sounds nice.' Anybody can do that. I’m much more concerned that they walk away thinking, 'that felt great.'"
For her humility, the album is as dizzyingly good as it should be. It's a watershed moment that meets both goals—it sounds and feels great. The songs are unconventional. It's universally appealing in its pop offerings (infectious hooks are plenty) but the arrangements are challenging in how many layers there are to listen to. Heavy synth-laden basslines to the classical guitar in the tensely urgent Polow-produced "Ready to Fall," Keri anchors it all with a pitch-perfect voice that is refreshing in its versatility. From the sweeping cinematic orchestration of Timbaland's "Mic Check" ("I loved harnessing all that aggression in my voice.") to the speedy cascading electro bassline of "Return the Favor." The mutual trust between artist and producers allows them to take bold risks. Keri shouts out all the “fly girls” on her song “Get It Girl”. “A ‘Get It Girl’ is focused on getting everything she wants out of life. She is strong, independent, determined, loves to have fun, always stays fresh - and no matter what, accepts no limitations.”
We talked about tracks for the album before but let's update what tracks we know for sure on the album:
"Energy" produced by Runaways
"Get Me Off (The Bench)" produced by ?
"Happy Juice" F/ Snoop Dogg produced by Danja
"Slow Dance" produced by Timbaland & Royal Court
"Get It Girl" produced by Timbaland
"Mic Check" produced by Timbaland
"Return The Favor" produced by Timbaland
"Where Did He Go" produced by Timbaland
"How Does It Feel" produced by Timbaland
"Let Me Go" Produced by Timbaland
"Ready To Fall" produced by Polow
"Turn Off" F/ Lil' Wayne produced by Polow
And if the tracks make the final cut add:
"Quicksand" F/ Justin Timberlake produced by Timbaland
"Alienate" produced by Cory Bold
"Too Proud" produced by ?
Plus there's 2 other tracks registered under Keri's name:
"Sidewalk" produced by Melvin "St Nick" Coleman
"You Said" produced by Antonio Dixon
Missy Elliott's Block Party gets pushed back?
There seems to be some confusion as to when Missy's long awaited new album Block Party will be released. To date we have:
Amazon says September 30
HMV says August 25 (September 10 in Japan)
CD Universe says September 30
MTV says September 30
So has the album been pushed back? Looks that way.
In addition you can check out Missy performing her Timbo produced "Shake Your Pom Pom" on America's Best Dance Crew tomorrow at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. During her performance, the remaining 4 crews will be preforming to the song and for the rest of the show the crews will perform to various Missy tracks throughout her career. Check it out!

Jim Beanz and The Clutch on Chris Cornell's first snippets
We told you about Jim Beanz' involvement in the Chris Cornell album, but we're not talking about one or two songs, rather Beanz had a hand in 12 songs from the forthcoming project. Of the songs we know so far, Beanz wrote "Ground Zero" as well as co-wrote "Watch Out." In addition to Jim Beanz' magic, The Clutch also lend their skills having penned the tracks "Part Of Me" and "Long Gone."
Still no name for the album and still no official release date but we'll keep you posted when we get more news.

Izza Kizza drops "11ven 12welve", checks in with URB and Paste Magazine
Without question Izza Kizza is part of the new era of music. Instead of letting the industry dictate how and where he promotes himself, he's taking matters into his own hands, tapping into the what else? The best marketing tool out there: the internet. Check out the new video for his latest release "11ven 12welve" produced by Timbaland:
Now if you don't recognize the beginning of the video? You should since it's where Kizz got his inspiration for the track. None other than Sesame Street's "1,2,3,4,5...".
Now if you've got your ears on you'll hear my favorite part of the track, the cell phone ringing at 1:40 Ha! Hence why the track is a demo only. After an unfortunate hard drive crash only one version of the song was recorded so look for a fully mastered, cellphoneless version coming soon.
Wait there's more: Kizza continues his media takeover! Check out the new issue of Urb Magazine to get the latest in the mind of the Kizz and hear Kizz and 88 Keys on their newest podcast for URB Don't Know Don't Car Vol. 3
Izza is also in the latest of Paste Magazine as well as "Red Wine" being featured on the album sampler for Issue #44.
We’re going to do a Michael Jackson mixtape, then a Prince mixtape. I’ll go get Earth, Wind & Fire’s greatest-hits album, put my flavor on it and do a mixtape. I’ll go back and get an Otis Redding album and put my flavor on it.
AND if it possible for Izza Kizza to be ANY bigger, check out next month's issue of Spin magazine as well as September's issue of Rolling Stone! To have this much press without a release or even upcoming release of an album is unheard of. Don't miss the Izza Kizza train!
New Kids On The Block will work with Timbaland
The Chronicles can now 100% confirm that the New Kids On The Block will be working with Timbaland and Jim Beanz. It's hard to believe it was almost 20 years ago since The New Kids were around.
Yet if there's anyone who can make the New Kids sound as fresh and relevant in today's music as if they never "left", it's Timbo and Jim Beanz.
Attitude gets Danja for 1st single
Attitude aka Mr. Time Is Money will be dropping his Warner Brothers debut album very soon. The lead single will be "Man Right Here" produced by DanjaHandz. Other producers on the project will include Timbaland and Polow.
We'll definitely keep you posted on more to come from 'Tude!
Who Flipped It Better: Timbaland Vs. Rishi Rich Vs. Bombay Rockers
Here's another installment of who does the best flip of the same sample. This time around we're looking at a classic Tim sample used from one of his favorite and often used sample CDs. Starting with Timbaland, the year was 2002 and we were all still trying to cool off from Tweet's red hot #1 touch yourself anthem "Oops (Oh My)." Her next single was the the more upbeat but just as bad ass "Call Me", still to this day one of my favorite Tim beats just for that sample alone. Though the single didn't fair as well as it's predecessor, Tweet with Timbo's help had secured herself on the music map.
Jump ahead to 2004, and UK Indian R&B artist Jay Sean released his debut album Me Against Myself and the track:
"Eyes On You" produced by Rishi Rich
And yes you're right this is the same Jay Sean who recently released another album which reportedly had Timbaland on production yet Tim was not on the album. Yes even Amazon gets it wrong.
Last but not least, in late 2003 the Danish duo Bombay Rockers released the track "Sexy Mama" off their hit debut album Introducing...:
"Sexy Mama" produced by Thomas of the Bombay Rockers
So as we always ask Who Flipped It Better? And this should be a real easy one, where's the sample from?

Timbaland to work with New Kids On The Block?
I cringed when I first read this news and as I kept reading my inner Timbo stan started screaming "but WHY!?" but then I checked the source and was soothed by the more than likely possibility it's all a rumor. So the story goes that Timbaland is set to be working very soon with 80s boy band New Kids On The Block on their comeback album. Knowing what Tim has to offer and being fans of his work, the New Kids want Timbaland to ask Madonna if she could contribute to their album as well.
Here's where the legitimacy could come in. New Kid Joey MacIntyre is quoted (quotes equal truth right?) as saying "It's so exciting. We loved what Timbaland did with Madonna's 4 Minutes and can't wait to see what he has in store for us." Fellow Kid Jordan Knight added: "I know he's putting in a good word for us to have Madonna on the album. It's looking good. Fingers crossed!"
The original source is the UK's gossip tabloid The Mirror and has been run by various media outlets the last week. So is it true? With all the pop Timbaland has been doing, yes quite possibly. Will Madonna be on a New Kids On The Block album? I highly doubt it.
New Kids and Timbo, who's next?
One Republic to release "Mercy"
I'll be the first to admit, I'm not on my game when it comes to One Republic. I don't know their history very well with the exception of Ryan Tedder. Case in point, for their new single "Mercy" I had no idea there was already a video out prior to their signing to Mosley Music Group. The same can be said for the pre-remix "Apologize" which I also didn't know at the time was a real video versus fan made and as with "Apologize", the video for "Mercy" will be a completely new one with shooting beginning very soon.
The track looks to be released sometime in late September/early October some of One Republic's UK dates. Speaking of has anyone gone to any of their shows?
Here's their new single:

Keri Hilson talks "Energy", graces the cover of Rap-Up magazine, announces tour
Keri Hilson on her video "Energy":
Women, we're such hopeless romantics, and we want every man to be Mr. Right. This song goes from good love to bad love. You know, you kind of get drained of your energy after a while. You've become spent when it doesn't work out with the person you're in love with or you're in a relationship with someone who doesn't do the things you do for them.
Basically, I play a female boxer who's in a relationship. I spar with my boyfriend at times. It starts really, really good, and as the video plays out, you see how much energy I put into this relationship or how little is reciprocated back to me.
Here's more:

Check out Keri on the cover, along with Teyana Taylor and Solange Knowles, of the summer issue of Rap-Up magazine. Here's a behind the scenes look of the photoshoot:
Speaking of Teyana Taylor, her Clutch filled debut album has been pushed back due to the lack of buzz from her debut single "Google Me". Rumor has it she's back in the studio with The Neptunes. Let's hope The Clutch tracks don't get cut.

"4 Minutes" biggest single for Madonna in 18 years
18 years ago Madonna released "Vogue" which ended up becoming her biggest selling single of all time. Fast forward to the present as the Timbaland and Danja produced "4 Minutes" has just hit the 2 million sold mark and counting, closing in on "Vogue" for the top spot. Despite not going #1 on the American Billboard charts, the track did spend 11 weeks atop the world charts.
With all that success you'd think her 2nd single would be a no brainer for success but so far "Give It 2 Me" has not faired as well as "4 Minutes" though the track has just hit radio stations. The 3rd single is looking to be a double A side of "Miles Away" and "Beat Goes On."
In addition, Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour starts in August with a million tickets already sold. The show will include the Timbo tracks "Miles Away", "4 Minutes", and a piano version of "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You." In addition, Madonna will also be performing past tracks including "Human Nature" which will contain samples of Britney Spears "Gimmie More" and a reworked version of "Vogue" which will contain samples of both "4 Minutes" and Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous Girl."
Last but not least listen to this:
"4 Minutes" Sticky & Sweet Tour Version
Big thanks to Simon for the info!
MTV's Total Request Live today: Keri Hilson and Timbaland

Timbaland to produce Jay-Z's next album
First new music and now some incredible news. Timbaland is looking to produce Jay-Z's entire next album! MTV sat down with Timbo who shared his thoughts on the forthcoming project:
He wants me to do the whole thing this time around. I'mma make it a classic too. You better believe it. It'll be a monster! I always say this: You get a first single from me, I'mma get you up to gold. And it's hard to get you up to gold in this day [and age].
Jay should never chill. We had a long talk, and I really talked to him. Jay-Z does it for the love. That's different. When somebody does it for the love, you don't stop. He has everything, but he's still current. A million people are buying his album regardless.
We wanna go to the world. The world is 'Big Pimpin'.' 'Big Pimpin' ' is an international hit, so we wanna do 10 of those. Meaning, some of the songs gonna sound like M.I.A. would rap on some of the beats. You gonna be like, 'Whoa!' But it's Jay on 'em. That means it reaches everywhere. I'mma have songs with bagpipes. The music is gonna be so worldwide, he'll be able to tour the rest of his life, maybe, off just this one album. The Jay-Z album is gonna be phenomenal. You know why? We don't care. We're doing great music just to do it. We doing it for our fans who love us to say we ain't quit. I'm doing it 'cause that's my homeboy."
Tour the rest of his life off just this one album? That's a big, bold statement so let's hope the album will be as incredible as Tim makes it sound. They haven't even gone into the studio yet and already Tim is talking like this. He must have some heat for Jay, bagpipes and all! Speaking of big albums, Timbo continued to praise his own work on the Chris Cornell album:
It's the best work I've done so far. I could be like, 'Wow. I really took it there. It beats Justin's album. Justin even said that. He listened to it and said, 'You did it again.'"
So Jay-Z and Timbaland, 1 entire album, what you think?

Chris Cornell "Long Gone" FULL produced by Timbaland
Yesterday was the snippet and today we have the full track "Long Gone" by Chris Cornell:
Is this the first single? Remember this is one continuous album, there are no breaks from song to song a la Pink Floyd's The Wall. One of my most anticiapted albums of the year!
