Sample of the Week

What's up Tim stans? I was talking to Boogie yesterday about Tim samples (Vol. 9? Sample Wars III maybe?) and I realized that it'd been a long time since I came threw here and did a sample of the week. So since it's the new year and all, I thought it would be nice to post a sample. This is honestly a sample from one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists who worked with Tim: Kiley Dean. Hope y'all enjoy:

    One of my fav tracks indeed! This sample was also used by the runners for "Go Getta" and by Alchemist for a Dilated Peoples track...and Im pretty sure KAnye sampled it for a Talib Kweli track.

    Bullshit SShearer, Simple Girl was a clear example of Timbo's 'old school beatmaking' finesse, the whole album is fire. And Kiley's voice - very much like Tweet's...so haunting.

    EPIC: The song is called "As Days Go By" by Kiley Dean.

    I actually thought this was one of the weaker songs Tim produced for her. It's still a lovely track though, and it's nice to hear the beat in full without Timbaland making all his typical noises over it.

    Still, "No" will always be my favourite track on the album.

    This is a nice song... Teedra Moses came to mind when I heard it. Her voice would sound great on this. But Kiley did her thing too no doubt!
