Remember how excited you got when you read this article last year? At the time, we had just heard the alternate of the Chris Martin/Nelly Furtado/Timo collabo "All Good Things" and we heard rumors about Tim doing Coldplay's album but finally we had some proof.
Fast forward to this year and when Coldplay's new album Viva La Vida is released on June 17th, it will be Timless. The Timbo influence is still there however, as Chris Martin confirmed recently. "One song we're always trying to chase is 'Cry Me A River' in terms of beats and everything. I know that is one of Will's [drummer Will Champion] favorite songs and he did all the drums on "Lost!"
Timbaland remix anyone?
cant wait to hear it! i love coldplay and when i read that post i freaked! what happend??? maybe the next album will be with tim???
ReplyDeleteHOPE SO!!!
hmm the "lost" drums don´t sound timbo inspired
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard lost but I feel that Viva La Vida (the song) is ready made for a Tim remix. The drums could use a boost, not to mention all the hi hats and stutters he could add.
ReplyDeleteI really hope Tim does some kind of remixing for Coldplay, though. I actually think if he remixed the entire album, that would be better than if he produced the whole thing at the begining.
Hi Guys,
ReplyDeleteThe album is just leaked.
This is a link to the webrip.

Enjoy the album and buy it as soon as released.
Sabdog
you fool. if you want people to buy the album, don't post the links.
ReplyDeleteCool but that's as close as I want Tim to get with working on a Coldplay album - i'm actually happy the rumours were dismissed.
ReplyDeleteim actualy happy that we finaly got some tim news in this so called tim blog
ReplyDeleteThis album sounds like something God made without Timbaland. With that said, I'd be happy without a Timbaland remix or anything. Just buy it.
ReplyDeletewhat? no i deff think that coldplay and tim would be amazing together!
ReplyDelete"what? no i deff think that coldplay and tim would be amazing together!"
ReplyDeletebut not necessary. or else tim would have been on this album.
I mean, if you listen to "Clocks" and then to Brandy's "Should I Go"... I'll admit, the drums do bring a nice sound to the beat, but Tim just took a spectacular song and stripped it of much of its original value.
Brian Eno's production is killing Timbo's, Danja's, Hannon's, or whoever......I'm a Timbo fan but I'm sorry. Coldplay made the right decision in going to Brian Eno for production on their new album.
ReplyDeletefor the album or overall to each their own.
ReplyDeleteno i think that it would be amazing for a tim/coldplay album. a remix would be ok but i think an album with both camps going into it and starting from the ground up would be hot.
ReplyDeleteand yea ur right i think that "Should I Go" is an ok beat by itself but compared to "Clocks"... it doesent even stand up to that sort of magic and beauty Coldplay got on that joint.
im kinda curious to see how a tim/coldplay album would come out because coldplays music is what makes them coldplay. not just the voice...
Well, Chris Martin's appearance on Kanye West's "Homecoming" left more to be desired. If Tim's gonna work on a Coldplay album (with OR without Danja), and produce beats as monotonous as that of the aforementioned song, then I'd pass.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I know that Tim wouldn't pull out all the stops. Tim's showing on Duran Duran's most recent album would have been a bit better if he and/or Nate didn't filter out some of the shit that the band did in the sessions.
you know what is weird about this post...is i have the song and i dont hear any drums on the track...its like a piana acoustic song...ive searched and theres only that version besides live versions and theres no Timbo ispired drums to this song...im beginning to think ur another blogger thats just throwing out personal opinion than actual facts
ReplyDeleteThere are indeed drums in "Lost!" Are you listening to "Lost?" (bonus track which I've yet to get my hands on) or another Coldplay song?
