Update: This song is produced by Maximum Risk from Denmark.
Though many will label this track as new, it has actually been around for quite some time. The story behind the track, however, is what makes it so unique. I won't bore you with the details but it does involve a phone recording and a lot of hungry Timbaland fans waiting for a clearer version to appear. Finally that day has come, take a listen:
Brandy "What Have You Done 4 Me"
Check the sound similiarities between this track and Jada & Bubba's "They Ain't Ready." Will this appear on Brandy's new album? We have yet to find out.
same snare, same spirit as 2004 tim but those aren't tim sounds.
ReplyDeleteMight be one of his protoges
no tim sounds ?
ReplyDeletethe sample that kicks in at 0.38 is a trademark timbaland sound and can be found in many timbaland tracks.
That is tim all the way
ReplyDeleteOk boys.
ReplyDeleteThis is the deal. Its not Timbaland that has done this track.
It is 2 danish producers called Maximum Risk and they wrote the song with Kenisha Pratt.
Brandy recorded this song and 9 others in LA last year.
If you go to youtube and search for Sweet Nothing you will find another of Maximum Risk songs with Brandy.

Does anyone know where the talkbox-kin of sound is from. I'm pretty sure it aint the mophatt?
ReplyDeleteTim sure does have alot of biters then he wasn't lying when he said so.
ReplyDeleteif dis aint tim den dese guys are serious biters. snare and hi hats 2gether sound lyk hot boys by missy and has the wierd noise he used on hey papi
ReplyDeleteThis track is for all those people who complain timmys new tracks have a new sound, now you get a (technically) new track with timmys old sound! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd if this was made by biters, jeez i've heard my biters in my time but this would be taking the cheese
yessir a big bite, i never really would pay attention to them until now its annoying running with tim's old style like its new.
ReplyDeleteonce again another fake tim track...this is daily huh
ReplyDeleteYes daily! There are new "Timbaland produced" tracks every day. This one, however, was long thought to be Timbaland especially since it has the same exact sounds as the Tim produced "They Ain't Ready."
ReplyDeleteThere's been new Attitude and Petey Pablo tracks out for a long time now but they aren't confirmed Timbo so we don't post them.
It's hard to get 100% confirmation on unreleased tracks.
J Boogie dont trip we lucky we get to hear them keep em coming though i appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteBigk80
Seems like people are treating Tim's sound like public domain nowadays. There's a heavy (probably 99.9% Tim) influence within this track.
ReplyDeleteAs always, props to J Boogie, and to sofun212 for laying this one to rest. But, it was evident when the rapper didn't give Tim production props that it wasn't him.
Speaking of which, why's Brandy always working with no-name rappers?
WTF This is easily the biggest, most blatant Timbaland bite I've EVER heard.
ReplyDeletecan't this man get sued for using that ginuwine "pony" burping sound? lol i mean the drums are negotiable but that sound isnt. theres no way he can find that shit on a keyboard. i mean i hope he admits this in a liner note or sumthin that he bit umm sorry, sampled timbaland.
ReplyDeleteHey J Boogie, I wanna hear the story behind this track. Bore me with the details please!!! :D
ReplyDeletethese biters are gettin better and better everyday that passes...i think its pretty scary in the long run for certain musicans and producers...why get timbaland when i can get these guyz for 5 grand or a soundclick producer...and yeah i argee there should be some legal matters about jackin sumones whole samples...but tim steals too lol
ReplyDeletesounds like someone found a timbo kit online...the biting is so bad
ReplyDeleteOuch.
ReplyDeletejust fyi those sounds are all on the EMU Modules. If you listen to the Neps, Tim, Swizz etc.... they all used to buy into thess products at one time.
ReplyDeleteAnd some sounds still make the cut on new productions.
Its not Tims Snare, but he obviously used it the most.
The "Burbing" sound is identical with a standard preset, on my Triton keyboard, witch is called "Ribbon Rabber". So unless Timbo invented the Triton i have, you have to be on crack to say that it is a Tambaland sound.. Actually it is a bit like saying that anyone who plays a saxophone, is biting Kenny G.
ReplyDeletejust my 2 cents, take care guys:)
